Tsvangirai Withdraws
Opposition leader Morgan Tsvangirai has withdrawn from the presidential runoff election in Zimbabwe. )=
He was widely believed to have won the initial election (possibly even with an actual majority) but incumbant Mugabe's government announced he had not and there would be a runoff.
Extensive violence against his supporters was cited by Tsvangirai as his reason for withdrawing from the race.
