basenjis are african sighthounds. They're smallish dogs, around 25-35 lbs, usually marked like my Eris, but with a smoother coat, and they can be red and white, black and white, or tricolored. I have a basenji/lab (12 years old, alpha male) and a basenji/terrier (11, alpha female). This is Eris (the 11 y/o):
