I have to agree with your friends - bumblebees are cuter. We had a nest of them in our side yard growing up. My parents never even considered having them removed because they weren't disturbing anyone. I loved the bumblebees. :)

But yes, bees are adorable.

At beebusters we hardly EVER get bumblebee calls anymore, its a bit concerning. ):
