I believe he's regularly capturing swarms now. Aims to keep them in a separate quarentine yard and requeen them or something ... he'll get lazy eventually.
Honestly, honestly, though we've been advocating for years strongly against anyone keeping feral bees, it's always been hard for me to really stomach the fact that we are just destroying thousands of dollars of potential bee-assets every week. I agree with what we've been saying that they shouldn't be kept in a yard, and they may well turn out to be too bad tempered to take to pollination, and it WILL be a drag working them always having to totally totally suit up, but if we can keep them away from human population and at least harvest them for honey, they're fucking free money falling into our lap every day.
