I was thinking about it the other day and the term "clear and present danger" as applied to these trees I think is actually imminently inaccurate, the whole POINT is that the danger might not be obvious, which is why we are to be trained to be careful for them and "CPD trees" are to be marked with yellow spray paint in the fire zone. Clearly they are not clearly a danger!
