This is fascinating stuff. Oddly, my husband, daughter and I were just having a conversation today about beekeeping and honey production. Now we are not beekeepers but my daughter was talking about a very superior honey produced in central Spain, Salamanca area, that is very local. She thinks that the beekeeper should sell it elsewhere as it's so good. Friends of ours in Melbourne also kept bees when they lived there.
What are those lovely fushia-coloured flowers? It can't be bouganvillea. Looks very much like here in southern Spain. (Where we are also overrun with geckos and lizards which are our natural insect control.) I have Mediterranean house geckos inside all the time.
Halloween has its grips here in Spain where there is no tradition whatsoever and it makes me a bit irritated because they really don't have a clue as to what to do with it.
