Like.. the other day someone asked our favorite person to be named after a Taco Bell product, Entertainment Council director Andrea Chalupa, if anyone was opening for Rancid, to which she responded: "I think they have some random bands yea."

I believe I've met you..

Have you, by any chance, ever seen a girl at an on-campus show wearing a shirt that said HOMOSEXUAL, and gotten into a conversation with her about how SLC Punk was the coolest movie ever, except she hadn't seen it yet?

[identity profile] emosnail.livejournal.com 2003-10-17 03:54 pm (UTC)(link)
Hmmm you sure it didn't say "emosexual"? I distinctly remember meeting someone at the Ozma show last year that had an "emosexual" shirt which I thought was for awesome. Or maybe I deliriously misread homosexual? (=

[identity profile] emosnail.livejournal.com 2003-10-17 03:57 pm (UTC)(link)
Yay for totally serious come up!!

I am gonna buy so much merch at this show.. they're gonna think I'm such a yuppie or something.

My goal is to get Tiger Army addicted to steel reserve. (=< muahahahaha

[identity profile] samedisorder.livejournal.com 2003-10-17 04:02 pm (UTC)(link)
Hmm, well, I still have the shirt, and it still seems to say HOMOSEXUAL... but emosexual works too. I could make a shirt that says that, and then it could be true. Eee!

I have a shirts that say "PREPPY" and "POSER," among other things. home-made shirts are the for awesome.

Contrary to what your lj info says, do you still reside in Davis?

And have you seen SLC Punk yet?

Re: emosexual

[identity profile] samedisorder.livejournal.com 2003-10-18 02:26 am (UTC)(link)
Heh, I have indeed seen SLC Punk, so I am now just as cool as you ... right?

- waits for the nod of agreement -

I'm not in Davis at the moment, but I think I'm moving back on Sunday. Perhaps Monday.

PS Home-made shirts are indeed too cool for most people. Currently, my favorite home-made shirt is the one where I wrote "Someday, we will rule the world..." then drew a picture of a cow, and then wrote, "AS COWS." It's way hardcore and inside-jokeish.

hahaha omg thats awesome. I want to start a clothing line.. where I sell white shirts and sharpies. (= But I think it'll be like $8 per shirt/sharpie, and then when they show the shirt they've made we give them $6 back.. to make sure they don't make something lame that has like bubble letters on it or something.

sean connery is silly

::nods in agreement::

I love SLC Punk.. i haven't seen it in too long.

In completely unrelated news I saw the end of Red October today and decided it had been too long since I'd seen THAT as well. Well I guess thats not completely unrelated.

I'm talking to you online right now. the end.

That was a great story. Almost as good as that one book from the point of view of the big bad wolf.

The word "bubbles" reminds me of the one time in class where we blew bubbles all over the place until the teacher said she didn't want soap on everything. I started yelling at her about how Why didn't she want things to be clean?

Also like the book told from the point of view of the monster Grendal in Beowolf, or say those pesky rebels in Star Wars. Unfortunately the latter was a bit too convincing and many people fail to realize that the Empire is obviously the good guys.

I considered it. But she was always going on about her husband, because she'd just gotten married, and I felt really sorry for her.

You like Youth in Revolt??

Youth in Revolt is by far the most excellent book EVER written.

I wish my friend Jessie would give me back my copy so I can give it to other friends and proliferate the amazingness that is youth in revolt.

C.D. Payne is excellent.
