Let G = rock, B = punk, C = ska, and H = hardcore. Then A could be NOFX, D could be Bad Religion, and E could be Reel Big Fish. Assuming Bad Religion is punk and Reel Big Fish is ska, then NOFX is punk because of more similarity to Bad Religion. Since punk and hardcore are about being pissed off and drunk, while ska is about whatever ska is about, ska is off by itself in the rock catagory, because punk and hxc result in mosh, while ska results in skanking.
