So after a lot of bouncing back and forth between our insurance company and the owner of the vehicle that hit my car (which may or may not have been stolen at the time?)'s insurance company, it has finally been determined that my trusty mercedes, affectionately known as 4GKU ("For-gecku") will be towed away today or tomorrow, and we will be compensated $2,280 for it.
This works out as far as I'm concerned, because we only paid $2,000 for it in the first place so after a year or so of use I'm turning a 14% profit on the car!

It would be rather a shame if they mashed it into a little tin cube though, as it is a perfectly functional automovehicle.

For-Gecku, you were a trusty steed!

In other news, I no longer work at the law firm. That place was totally for sucks. So I'm in limbo again. These Primarica people have been trying to steal my soul, and as long as I have nothing better to do I've been humouring them, but I'm very skeptical.

I spent my Valentines Day in divorce proceedings at the Lamoreaux Justice Facility (when did Courthouses become "Justice Facilities"?) in Orange. Today I was there most of the day as well. Tomorrow I think I'll be at the Central Courthouse in Santa Ana.

Today I walked past one of the women from "The Real Housewives of OC" in the hallway at Court (I think it was this one but I'm not sure). Geeze is that show stalking me? Also while looking for the previous link I found the bio for Megan's mom. I had assumed they'd change at least the character's last names but I guess they didn't.
Anyway the lady was there with her new husband/boyfriend, no doubt to support him in his proceedings against his former/estranged wife.

Speaking of Valentines Day, Valentines Day marks the anniversary of the day I met the delightful Miss Kristy Heidenberger, which brings us up to four years of sassiness now.
And speaking of anniversaries I forgot to make the usual ruckus on the 19th of January as to the birthday of this livejournal, celebrating four years now of bloggery.
And speaking of barely relevant segways, I actually got a call the other day from someone who wanted to know why my previous publication, the Chosen Echidna, is now five years overdue for its next weekly update. Oops. I blame yahoogroups for being shoddy.

I have a new job. Today I interviewed at Alex's mom's firm, Hughes & Sullivan, for a position as Court Assistant, and was given the position. I will start on Wednesday (the soonest drug test results are expected back), at $14 an hour.

I stopped by the Bee Cave on my way back to thank them for employing me this week, and got a paycheck for $350 for my three days of work ($15 an hour) which you will recall I mostly spent playing pingpong and watching the whiskey still.

Hughes & Sullivan has 15 attorneys (three senior partners, of which Alex's parents are two (the other is Sullivan obviously)), and 28 employees overall. I will be making sure all the case files are in order every morning for the days adventures, and spending most of the time at court helping the attorneys in various ways. I am very excited, it sounds like I will be quite emersed in the front-lines of legal activity.

Additionally, in about an hour and a half I pick Kristy up from the train station. Today is an excellent day.
