   So, tis the season when we have a new herd of pledglings aspiring to join our esteemed organization. Among other things, they're competing with eachother to get points from the members for whatever reason. So far I've given out two points, the first because the pledge said he'd slept with the local director of N.O.W. and I thought that deserved a point at least (which was the first point given out by anyone this quarter incidently). Pledges must interview five members a week, and one of the pledges' questions was "would you rather have angel wings or a prehensile tail" -- I thought that question was awesome and gave him a point for that (prehensile tail all the way).

   Anyway, if any pledglings stumble upon this, I'll give you up to five points for reading my livejournal, based on a quick quiz which will cover the most recent 20 entries. Also, there might be something basic from the daviswiki page on me on this quiz so go find that too.
   Also you get a point for applying for the ASUCD Supreme Court.

In Other News: Kristy made me molasses cookies during a baking frenzy the other day because I had passingly mentioned I craved them. Kristy is strong sauce. In fact, Kristy is such strong sauce, that Sashie wrote a paper for class about Kristy.

   Year Ago Last Thursday: Secrets of Lost Legislation - RECENTLY DECLASSIFIED: Deep in the depths of the ASUCD storage closet, archives are discovered revealing that the name of the Supreme Court of ASUCD had actually NEVER been changed to the demeaning "Student Court" as was commonly believed. Probably not the most shocking thing that has happened in the ASUCD closet though, at least before Sara Henry had her own office.
   Year Ago Last Saturday: Flogging Molly = Strong Sauce - Kristy and I go see Flogging Molly at Sac State. Also, polls indicate 41% of respondants think the author of this livejournal is more like a squirrel than the other options, and 53% of respondants would prefer chicken strips. Personally, I'd prefer beef stew. Mmmm stew.
   Year Ago Last Monday: The Perks of Being a Porn Star - RECENTLY DECLASSIFIED: you'll just have to read it if you want the low down on the local pornography industry.
   Year Ago Yesterday: Big Brother Gallagher - RECENTLY DECLASSIFIED: ASUCD President Gallagher vetoes a constitutional amendment, Senate refuses to override the veto because it would "look bad." But what really got my goat when I finally realized it months later is that all the controversy over this should have been moot, because CONSTITUTIONAL AMENDMENTS CANNOT BE VETOED!!! See just because people aren't filing cases doesn't mean things aren't going terribly wrong.

Who would vote for angel wings at all? They seem like they'd get in the way. Prehensile tail, though - damn. I'd probably give up a finger for one.

well kristofer, as I am positive I am the only pledge to read your livejournal and I have had a conversation with you via instant messager during the pledging process, I would like some points please.

also, good work with the futureheads. I hung out with them at the franz ferdinand show a while back and would deem them "strong sauce" if I was to actually use that word in normal conversation.

well if you had the angel wings he said you could fly. which is a bit compelling, but I'm still all about the prehensile tail.

Well, there is always the burning question of whether cheesecake is actually cake or actually pie. It seems obvious that it is a pie, but common usage tells us that we're supposed to say cake.

BTW, how many points would you award for HAVING a prehensile tail???

Of course, having wings would be excellent, but I think you're going to have to call them DEVIL wings for them to merit any points.

Oooh... yeah, but if you lose the wings - like, in a car wreck - you stop flying. I guess the same is true of the tail, but I think it would be easier to deal with the loss of a third "hand" than the loss of flight.

That's a pretty shitty justification, in hindsight. Giving up flight because it might suck to lose it? But overall, I think wings would be a hassle. You can hide the tail.

And just think of how much a tail can spice up your love-life.
