Oh those silly mormons. I thought the whole point of baptism was to signify one's opting in to the religion in question... it doesn't seem to me to make much sense in this proxy manner. Jesus certainly wasn't a mormon (nor the prophets before them), has someone proxied for them? It seems to me to have a whole slew of problematic aspects. Maybe I'll look into that for a future entry (though generally I prefer Old Testament issues because they apply fully to all subsequent groups)
