Heartwarming Anecdote of the Day
Today I was up in Merced, California, meeting a member of the ASUCM Supreme Court for coffee. There were a bunch of people milling around about where the line should be but most of them seemed to have already ordered and shortly they wandered off. The guy in front of me ordered and then there was me and this grouchy looking old guy standing there.
"Were you here first?" I asked him, stepping back. He really looked sour, I was almost afraid to say anything to him, but I also am not about to cut off an old guy.
Without really answering me he steps up to the register. "I'll have a a drip coffee, and whatever he wants" he said indicating at me. "Sometimes it pays to be polite" he said with a smile as he paid for my iced coffee.
Unrelated Picture of the Day

Picture from Epic Roadtrip 2007 I don't THINK I put up yet.
While this picture is from a sunrise in Wyoming, I did drive past similar windmills and a similar looking sunset today.

In fact I'm gonna change my listed interests right now, cause I can see how that might give a bad impression of me. I think you'll find my lj is a lot more than beer and burritos (though not nearly enough possums).
You by no means have to friend me back, I just saw you in the friending frenzy and a cursory investigation led me to believe you'd be interesting to get to know and we'd share some interests.
