Having finally posted an ad on craigslist for my apartment (since I have a week to fill two rooms now), I was feeling so accomplished that I needed to celebrate. So I drew a picture. Then the urge to find the pictures I drew in high school welled up again, and while searching I stumbled upon my 12th grade binder. Among other things, there were a lot of photographs in it from my photo class. And they still smell of darkroom chemicals four years later! Smelling them made me nostalgic of developing pictures in the darkroom.
And then I was scanning the picture I drew, with the scanner that happened to be hooked up in the other room, so I scanned some of the old pictures as well. I'll probably post those tomorrow though. Also the monitor on that computer absolutely fried my eyes in less than an hour.

Picture of the Day

Inspired of course by the entry a year ago yesterday. I've threatened several times to draw saucy illustrations to go with my entries and so now I've finally done it. Hopefully it won't be the last time either. (=
Incidentally the Wild Rivers "breakroom" doesn't even HAVE a door and is much more like a break corral or something.

And now, to be really disturbed, see pictures of my 12th grade binder, a true and revolutionary work of art!

Front cover:

From left to right thats Muammar Kadafi, now in his 33rd or 34th year as leader of The People's Libyan Arab Jamahiriya (thats not a kind of soup, thats the country of Libya); Iosif Vissarionovich Stalin, former General-Secretary of the Soviet Union, and William "Bill" Clinton, former President of these United States.

Back cover:

Other side of front:

Close up of that:

Thats totally my high school. Tall building is the auditorium, on the left is The Office, and on the right is the 200 Building.

First two pages of Model UN section:

Thats European Russia on the left side and Turkmenistan on the right. In Model UN you see we did current events every day, and had therefore developed a rich tradition of completely making things up. Two favourite topics in my class senior year were raging wildfires in Brazil, and icebergs breaking off Antartica and in various incidents threatening the very existence of New Zealand, Australia, California, and Brazilian wildfires.
Personally though mine always involved Turkmenistan. In a gripping story that slowly developed throughout the year I regularly updated everyone on a series of interconnected events that involved the world's largest mushroom (I think it was kidnapped).

And now I'm sure you all think I'm totally insane.

In other news, lj seems currently unable to support the "old layout" right now. I can't stand the new layout. I hope they fix this very soon.

My papa sold my car on craig's list! Apparently he posted an ad or whatev, and two hours later some berkleyites with British accents called him and they came ASAP and checked out the car and bought it. No more little Honda :'( or sickass CD player. Hmph. The End.

P.S. If we went to the same high school, we totally would have been friends, even if all my friends made fun of me for me hanging out with you ;) jusssst kidding. I know my friends love you.
