Last night I went on down to Diedrichs, and a lot of people were there. Specifically, there was Crispy & Abby, Dianasaurus & her band, Shalane and Tristan. Then around ten Diedrichs closed and most people, by which I mean, Diana and her band and Laners (who was gonna spend the night on her floor). As they headed to their cars Tristan played/sang Johnny Cash - Hurt on his guitar. Then valiant Diedrichs employee Ryan locked up and came out and him and I and Tristan sat on the patio and they took turns playing the guitar.
Then Keebler drove by just to tell Ryan that one of his old friends was back in town; causing Ryan and Tristan to finally scamper off and I went home.

Pictures
Earlier in the day I was also at Diedrichs, and I drew some pictures. Enjoy them because after I drew them I lost my good pen. )=

I may be doing a photo shoot of a whole bunch of scarves soon. If anyone wants to model for this totally emo shoot drop me a line, cause Caroline is in Europe and manikins aren't very emo. (=

Miscellaneous Things

  • While in my car for a total of 15 minutes today I heard the new Green Day - Idiot Nation three times. That is twice CONSECUTIVELY on the way to work and once on the way back. Don't get me wrong its an excellent song, I even stayed in my car after arriving at work to hear the rest of the second consecutive playing of it, but at this rate they are very very well on their way to overplaying it.
  • I learned at work today that the boss, Gabi, had sent the pictures I took on to two major yarn suppliers, Trendsetter and Prism, both of whom responded very approvingly. I don't know if this was just a "look what we did with your yarn" thing or if it might get on their website (neither of which I've been able to find).
  • The latest Homestarrunner.com creation, Peasant's Quest (preview, game) is totally awesome. Who else here used to play Space Quest and King's Quest? That was back in the day. I wouldn't mind getting the complete series of Kings Quest and Space Quest actually; I only ever played SQ3 & 4, and KQ5. Oh yea and Gold Rush (if you have no idea what I'm talkin about, you're really missin out let me tell you). I think most specifically Peasant's Quest looks like it has a lot of allusions to the Black Cauldron game. Man.. those things taught me how to write; which might explain some things
  • This is the first html bulleted list I've ever made.

Mother just informed me that dad actually took the MCAT and got a 95%, but didn't apply to med school. He also got within a year of getting a doctorate in bio-chemistry but then switched to business administation and got his second masters in that. Silly father.

Quote of the (other) Day
This should have been in the last entry, but I forgot. I was deliriously hungry when I wrote that entry - "...thats why we were all blacklisted, but thats not why we don't hang out here anymore, we don't hang out here anymore because we all hate eachother" -Cool Kyle, on Diedrichs.

So last night, Saturday night, I'd just finished polishing my shoes for the funeral when Shalane called me all in tears and asked if I could come to diedrichs asap.
So I went to diedrichs asap.
Diedrichs was flooding but thats not why the Shalane was sad. She'd gotten in a tiff with Petey.

But then who should show up but Tristan and this girl Stephanie (Who's dating Tom tHHS). And THEN, Cool Kyle and his new (by which I mean sometime since I saw him 10 months ago) girlfriend show up. And then the roto rooter guy showed up to stop the flooding and couldn't figure it out for the next hour or so. But for awhile it felt like old times. And we all reminisced about things like the time Cool Kyle almost bled to death but I saved him. And suddenly in a nearby SUV a girl emerged into the drivers seat from the back, followed a few seconds later buy a guy pulling his shirt back on. And random other people would come and go in the parking lot as tends to happen at Diedrichs. Then the roto rooter man fixed the flooding and we all went home.

On my way to the Plain White T's1 show I stopped by Diedrichs with the lingering hope that I still might find some clue as to what happened to the former "Diedrichs Crew." As it turns out, I did luck out this time and found Krispy and Abby there.

Where Are They Now? The (former) Diedrichs Crew )

Plain White T's
The PWT show was awesome. I think it was one of the best shows I've been to in awhile. Afterwords I was going on about how excellent it was to Kristy and I think she hates me for it now because she missed them when they were in the Bay Area.
I was afraid I'd be disappointed because I've overplayed most of their songs on my playlist, but at least half their set was new material. I think its the only show I've ever seen at Chain Reaction to have crowd surfers (lots of them), and the moshing was excellent. Unlike a lot of shows it wasn't tough guys trying to show off how tough they are and how violently they can mosh and shove, but people just enjoying themselves, it was excellent.
At the show I hung out with Anna LeLoup (former columnist for the Chosen Echidna) and Camille ([livejournal.com profile] mystiqmusic). Afterwords I hung out with Allie Bloomqvist ([livejournal.com profile] flyinmonkey) and Laurie ([livejournal.com profile] wrong_cow_girl). Incidentally, Anna, Camille and Allie were originally all part of the same group of people but it disintigrated as so many groups do and I think now I'm one of few people who still hangs out with different former members of it.

   Another day of slothfulness.

Visited Tiffany Lee Woffington Zoumer. Was dissappointed to find that not only was MVHS not going to the SDHS conference I'll be chairing at (as they'd originally intended), but UC Davis had foolishly not accepted my favorite "Lee Wofft." Fye on the admissions dept!!

Little bit later I went down to the local cobbler and for $25 he fixed up my docs and repaired the hole in the toe like it'd never been there. He said it would take a week so I was like "uh well I'm not gonna be here in a week so maybe not so much" and he was like "going back to Europe?" heh but anyway then he was like "well then I'll do it right now. Come back in half an hour." He could have resoled them for something like $65 I think, and I woulda been down with it since I paid $125 for them and would expect to replace them for about the same, but he said the shoes prolly weren't worth repairin so I was like what ev. Guy's too honest for his own good.

Only other adventure of the day was a brief trip down to Diedrichs off La Paz. For some reason mother was like "I know what kind of disreputable activities go on down there and I'd rather my car weren't a part of it" so I walked. WTF? No really, the car is NEVER part of any disreputable activities and I'M not even involved in most of these "activities." What ev, I felt like walking anyway.
MtHH, Ryan (RtDE), Matt Christie, Croat, and two others I'd never seen before were there. And Matt Christie's dog Vampira who was pretty cool. Croat gave me a ride home. The end.

In the year 1100 my Blehtite hordes recaptured Moscow from the Zulu infidels*. All across the front my armies are pushing back the enemy.
Babylon declared war on me (because I wouldn't share the secrets of gunpowder with them) and threatened to sack my one city on their continent, Blehtia Domini, so I ceded it to the Russians (making it one of two Russian cities now).
Then I traded the secrets of chemistry and music theory (gotta spread the punk rock) with the rest of the world for huge amounts of money. With this money I've managed to double our scientific research rate, hopefully creating a self sustaining technological superiority.
I'm told I'm a huge nerd because I'll talk about this at length.

*It seems to me the specific definition of infidel is "one who is the enemy by virtue of being different from us."

Yesterday (Saturday) Alex and Oi Kelly (known collectively as Kaelex) came down to pick me up, and waited at Diedrichs off La Paz for me to return from the wilderness creek-bed I was in at the time (true story). Unfortunately I was about an hour's hike from civilization.
Anyway, then we headed up to see their friends in The Something play at Corona Showcase (33.5 miles north by mapquest, up in "the 909"). Show was good, I really liked The Something even though apparently the sound guy did a terrible job. I'd like to try to get them up to Davis, I'm gonna try to get a demo and float it around the entertainment council. Y'all should check them out.
Anyway, so thing is this girl up front starts mad heckling the lead singer, Ryan. And seriously I don't know what her deal is cause she's front and center and was taking pictures of him earlier but she thinks she needs to heckle him? So he puts the mike in front of her so everyone can hear her stream of profanity.. but she yanks the cord out and breaks the mike! Sound guy pulls then pulls their plug and the band gets kicked out.
Sound guy is convinced THEY broke it by throwing it at the floor, even though we have mad witnesses and cords don't get pulled out by throwing things at floors anyway. Ryan and Sound Guy almost get in a fight, Sound Guy saying "you don't know who I am!! Ryan: "well who the hell are you then?" Sound Guy: "I don't have time for this shit" and storms off.
So then Oi Kelly hunts down the girl that pulled the plug, and finds her; in the boys restroom smoking pot with her boyfriend and girliefriends. So Oi Kelly confronts her and of course she's utterly unsympathetic and remorseless - so Oi Kelly hella bitchslaps her, and a fight ensues. Girl mad scratches Kelly, and the boyfriend gets involved, and then the bouncer breaks it up.
But man did that girl scratch. What a biatch. Kelly got a good kick in at the girl's crotch -- if she were a boy she's be done.

Then Kaelex, Ryan the lead singer and I went back to Diedrichs off La Paz. There we got ice for Kelly's scratches, and her neck was hurting from whiplash or something. Kaelex and Ryan the lead singer bonded with Ryan the Diedrichs employee, and I went to get alcohol for Ryan (RtLS); "what do you want?" "I don't know, a 40 of something cheap" "Steel reserve it is then - its the house drink."
And I got myself another bottle of cisco. Man, that stuff tastes aweful - but it gets you drunk MAD fast, and doesn't make you sick. Drunk off steel = getting sick, unfortunately.

Wednesday: Last Final
Last Wednesday (03/25/04) I had my last final, ENL113A, at 0800. It was mad easy. Then I said goodbye to Kristy, and proceeded to sleep away the rest of the afternoon.

Thursday: The Journey Home
Thursday morning my uncle Ben gave me a ride across town to the Davis Amtrak station for my 0725 Amtrak bus to Stockton (hour & 25 minutes). Waited there for half an hour and then it was time for the four hour, 26 minute, trainride to Bakersfield. Then the funnest part [/sarcasm] two hours and twenty minutes on a bus sitting next to a crazy guy down to Los Angeles' Union Station. Fifty-five minute wait thee and then hour and three minute train ride to Irvine station. Total time: 10 hours, 47 minutes.
No I didn't time everything, those are the official times I was given.

That evening I just loafed about at home and took it easy.

Friday: Return to Diedrichs
Friday afternoon I went on some adventures with Shalane ([livejournal.com profile] impotent_dream). She's been drug-free for 66 days now and its so nice to have sober Shillelagh back and I'm so happy for her.
She's in Mexico now for the weekend.
I really like her latest drawing Fig. S20 (apparently thats even a bad scan). Compare to pre-drugs Fig. S19.

Then my good friend Alex called and her and her friend Oi Kelly came to visit me. Our initial plan was to stop by infamous Diedrichs off La Paz to get coffee and then come up with a new plan and have adventures elsewhere. Arriving at Diedrichs at around 9pm, we ended up staying there until about 1am.
At first there didn't seem to be very many locals there that I knew.. just this guy Ryan who works there and Tristan.. then Croat ([livejournal.com profile] inequity) showed up, and Cool Kyle, and MtHH (who was suprisingly agreeable).
Then, most suprising of all, my cousin Holly ([livejournal.com profile] bobolly), and her boyfriend / our longtime family friend Eric Shamay ([livejournal.com profile] shamster) showed up; apparently because they were in the area and suspected correctly that they could find me there.

Tried this "Cisco" alcohol Croat's been raving about. Tasted like utter crap but it did give me a rather pleasent buzz with no inkling of sickness its true (going down it felt like it was gonna make me sick though). How can you be hard core drinking something strawberry flavoured though?

In Other News
Little brother Lance Corporal Fricke was just notified that he will be sent to Iraq as early as this Wedneday.

Mother just got a new job working in the office of the Assistant Vice Chancellor of Communications at UCI.

Eric (Lance Corporal Fricke) had actually just started working at mother's previous place of employment, The Yarn Lady when he got notified of his immenent departure. He promptly was like "eff that!" and after a career of one day retired from the Yarn Lady.

I used my last package of Knox Gelatine trying (rather unsuccessfully) to spike my hair on Friday. I'm now on a mission to discover a more effective way of doing it, since spiking with the gelatine is just about impossible to do alone.
I washed out my miserable attempt at spiking with gelatine after it had been in less than three hours and tried again with this weird gel Shalane's friend gave me and it worked pretty well. I want to experiment with murrey's wax and aquanette hairspray next.. and if I get desperate maybe look into this egg white thing.

So today was my last day in Orange County. I was already thinking I've seen a lot of people I used to know this break, but today alone I saw piles of old friends.

So I hunted down my old friend Nick Lucas and caught up to him at the Mission Viejo Mall ("The Shops at Mission Viejo," wtf?). While in the mall I ran into Monte's girlfriend (my little brother's best friend), and apparently my little brother's woman saw me there as well (possibly in a completely seperate incident? Because she wasn't with the other girl at the time).
Then later I go with him to starbucks uh some indie coffee shop uhhh ::shifty-eyes::, and Jessica Hanson, whom I went to school with from elementry school through HS is working there.. and this girl Bree who used to work at wild rivers is there as well.

Later on I go on down to Diedrichs, and in addition to all the regular people, Courtney Grasinger shows up (from my HS chemistry class), followed shortly by Jason Nelson, another person I went to school with from elementry school through HS.
Then I buy "cool" Kyle (I guess there must be an "uncool kyle" but I've never met him) and Mike tHH 40s of steel as their christmas presents. While at Viejo Liquor I run into Akbar Khan. Back at Diedrichs, Kerry Wilcox stopped by, then in completely unprecedented behavior my little brother and his friends drove by, apparently with the sole purpose of yelling "eurotrash!!" at me. Then Kyle, Mike tHH, Laney and I went to Target because Kyle just got kicked out of his house and needed thermal underwear. Kyle and Mike tHH currently live in Kyle's car.
Shalane currently has pinkish orange hair.

Then EVERYONE decided to go to the Irvine Spectrum. And by everyone I mean Cool Kyle, Mike tHH, Shalane, Croat, Matt Morgan, Stephanie & her boyfriend Tom, Tristan and myself. So we all up and carpooled ourselves over there like the big happy family we are in three cars.
Much mischief was then caused at the Irvine Spectrum. While there I ran into Anamica from UCD Model UN. Its always weird to run into people from Davis while down here.
And then I ran into Jessica Hughs, my date from winter formal junior year. Now see, thing with my dates to dances: (A) my dates to the last four dances were named Jessica, Jennifer, Jessica, & Jennifer, (four different people), of whom (B) three I had met at MUN conferences (all but Jessica Hughs). Anyway, Jessica Hughs has spent the last three years in Oregon, so it was really suprising to run into her.

Anyway, after a great deal of mischief was perpetuated, Kyle, Mike tHH, and I rode the parking trolly around forever and finally half frozen got to my car, and we returned to Diedrichs, where we reconvened with Laney and Croat. Then I bid everyone adieu and went home. The end.

DLP the Series - Episode 63
Kris, Croat and Anna eat Thai food, then stop by Diedrichs off La Paz, where employee Megan gives a cigarette to employee Stephanie, even though the latter doesn't smoke and has but one lung. Kris, Croat, Anna and Laney proceed to The Spectrum, hilarity ensues.

I'm convinced that a daily series could be made of the happenings at Diedrichs. Hence the above.

Seriously Though
Part I - Thai Food
Croat ([livejournal.com profile] inequity), Anna ([livejournal.com profile] beatlebake) and I started our evening with dinner at a local Thai restaurant oat around 6pm. Its name was something with the word Siam in it /= ...its on the corner of Marguerite and La Paz. Anyway, it was pretty good, if I were to compare it to Davis Thai restaurants I'd say it'd be second only to Thai2k.
In light of the frequent reoccurance of Thai restaurants in this journal, I have added Thai Restaurants as a memories category, and added "Thai food" as a listed interest.
As usual I had a basil/garlic/bamboo stir-fry thing with beef. Mmmm. Fangoriously hungry as always, I tried to eat Anna's leftover brocolli dish, but alas I've never been fond of brocolli, and was left to devour rice (which isn't to imply the servings weren't big enough, those who've eatin with me before will attest that my hunger simply excedes any restaurant serving).
Alas, Croat whose stomache has never been fond of Thai food was left with a stomache ache from the experience.

Part II - Diedrichs
Next we proceeded to Diedrichs off La Paz (DLP, delta lambda pi) for coffee. There we found Shalane (AKA "Laney," "shillelagh")and employees Megan and Stephanie. As mentioned, at one point Shalanes realized Stephanie was smoking on her break and was like "hey, YOU don't smoke!" "yea and I only have one lunge, but Megan gave me these cigarettes" or something along those lines. Laney than dashed inside to wreak revenge upon Megan, or something.
While there, Croat and Anna discussed possibly naming one of their children "Robatussin."
From there Croat, Anna and I proceeded to the Irvine Spectrum at around 8:30.

Part III - The Spectrum
"And from there they sped boldly, and found Todd bravely hiding amid some small shrubs. In only a few short minutes they calmed him down, and with him in custody they sped along that glorious freeway, the five. And when the road did split into the 405 and the 5, they did not dishearten, and arrived successfully at the Spectrum, that glorious beacon. -From Episode II of the Spectrum Diedrichs trilogy.
The abovementioned applies to what we next did, except for the finding of Tom Colby Todd.

Now for those of you who have the misfortune not to know, the Irvine Spectrum is "Orange County's premier dining, shopping and entertainment destination." Basically it started with a 21 screen theatre, back when that was rare, gained an outside foodcourt, then a plethora of small impulse shops... and now has gone insane with power and built a merry-go-round, a ferris wheel, and more odious shopping establishments such as fashion clothing stores.

Anyway, on with our narrative. They had set up an ice rink there, being the saucy irvine spectrum that it is. But Croat disputed that it was really ice, observing that there couldn't be ice without a zamboni. We continued this conversation into the restroom, where we encountered someone who reminded me strikingly of Kristy's ex Randy. This Randy II contributed to our conversation by pointing out that an icerink without a zamboni is like a baseball field without the line-chalking-machine. A very wise analogy you should all tell your grandchildren.
Us three then proceeded to this place there called Dave & Buster's, to which I'd never been before (meh, I don't get out much). Anna proceeded to get liquered up there. Then Shillelagh ("shi-lay-lee") arrived, but being naught of 21 years of age she could not enter, so we all went to this other restaurant/bar at the spectrum called Champs.
At Champs a drunk hairdresser guy promised to give both Laney and I a haircut for $15. Laney got his number, he may regret saying that. Then Anna saying karaoke. Good times. And Randy II it turns out was already at the bar there, and was like "heeey, zamboni guys!"

Part IV - Dubious Happenings
Thereafter, Laney and I went off to take care of some errands she needed to do. Her car has some transmission problem, making things more interesting. Eventually these problems led us to ditch her car in favor of someone else's which it turns out had even graver problems with its breaks.
We ended up spending most the evening thereafter hanging out with about six guys, many of whom had graduated my HS in years previous to me apparently. Shortly after introductions one of them was like "hey, you were in drama weren't you," followed shortly by another with "hey.. you did high jump right?" A little bit later a third one of them suddenly remembered "hey, your brother had that potatoe cannon, right?" Altogether nearly half of us were named K(/Ch)ris.
I got home at about 4am. The End.

Addendum - Selling Out
Pursuant to my offer of advertising in the last entry, Anna paid for my Thai food (I only had $20s, ill suited to my $8 meal) contingent that I buy her a drink later and advertise the bed she has to sell.
This bed frame, mattress, whatever, was bought 6 months ago at $350 and is still in very good condition. She is asking $50 for it. If interested, leave a comment in her livejournal.

Sunday Night
So Saturday night, after I wrote that other entry, Sean and Ishar ([livejournal.com profile] iamrav) picked me up and we went to safe-way for alcohol.
So we find ourselves looking at bud light and steel reserve. Everyone is indecisive. They ask me what I'd prefer and I indicate steel, they're like "yea steel sounds good." Then we look at the hard alcohol, trying to decide between rum and vodka. Finally I say "well I'm probably just gonna drink steel so I dunno," they immediately decide just to get another case of steel. Then as we're about to leave, Ishar decides to add one more case of steel for good measure, so we walk out with three cases of steel reserve. (=

So we get to the party, someplace off Arthur they had heard about it while partying the night before. So we get there and its pretty cool, not very many people but we had a lot of fun. We made "brass monkeys," by mixing steel reserve and orange juice, and the legends are true it IS hella good. Some dude swore it tasted better with Olde E, but then he tried it and admitted it was definitely better. The girls hella jocked Sean and his kerryman accent. And Sean used the word "jock" and I thought it was funny. And people played drunken scrabble, with a double word score for any word pertaining to alcohol.
There was another guy there with a 'hawk, and other people who had previously had them. Sean even admitted having once had one, we then declared that all irishmen have 'hawks at some point.

Then I apparently left a hilarious drunken messege on Kristy's phone. Uh, I deny everything.

Today (Monday)
Woke up feeling like crap and had an hour to pack everything for break. Got a ride down with Eric from the List and his Girlfriend (Brittany?). Traditional stop at In-N-Out, nothing else noteworthy to report

Stopped by Diedrichs off La Paz on my way to Chain Reaction. Tristan told me to go away and that no one liked me there, Krispy said something similar I think, all I remember was that he looked strangely like John Travolta with a faux hawk, Megan and Abby just stared at me blankly, and then I proceeded on to Chain.

Robin Kivlin's band Jack Bighead was playing at Chain Reaction. They played third and when they finished nearly everyone in the place left. A "real" promoter also actually talked to them afterwords so that was awesome. Also I heard that one must play Hogie Barmichaels (a miserable little place) once or twice in order to play at Chain, and at Chain about four times before one can play at Glasshouse. I had no idea one's progression in the world was so organized.

On the way home I saw cars with hella roadrage. They were leapfrogging eachother to shien the other with high beams. Road rage is so lame, seriously. If you think the car in front of you is too slow, don't be hella rude about it. I always picture the person being subjected to such shows of roadrage as some old lady or other person one would never be rude to in real life. People act like just because they can't see the other person and said person can't beat them up its suddenly okay to be mad disrespectful to them.. thats cowardly at best. [/end rant]

So yesterday I wore my Steel Reserve shirt cause Becka and I were GOING to take pictures to go along with the fan mail we wrote to send to the Steel Brewing Company.. but as I said the digital camera was AWOL.
Upon arriving at Diedrichs Mike the Horrible Human greeted me with "hey dumbass, you forgot an E on steele!" Now this of course was so flabbergastingly stupid it took me a second to figure where to even begin. Then I was like "uh. You are either dyslexic, or illiterate. Steel has two Es on the can and anywhere else." It turns out him and his friend Tom the Horrible Human's Stooge (THHS) both made shirts that say "steele reserve." Hahahahaha awwwwwwwww they're dumb! Later on when THHS himself was there MtHH was like "Hey look Kris spelled steele wrong!" and I laughed at them both again (well THHS hadn't been around for the first incident). I think MtHH motivation here was to prove that he wasn't the only person who spelled it wrong.. to bring his henchman down to the same level of shame as he. Isn't it cute how horrible people treat eachother?
Much later as I was leaving THHS came up to me and was like "hey do you have a fireplace?" me: "uh, why?" "you should burn that shirt as soon as you get home" (MtHH is always threatening to set my shirt on fire. My shirt enrages him, presumably because he has the same shirt but spelled wrong).
Now this minion of MtHH's, Tom; how pitiful must one be to idolize MtHH??

In other news, it is now September; rumour has it that my one and only Ex-girlfriend will be returning from Bulgaria (map2) this month. But none of us have heard anything for a long time now.

aggienaut: (asucd)

So I thought my parents were being all cool with me this summer and not harassing me about whatever I do, but I guess it just seemed that way because I happened to always be coming home before two. Last night I was out till 4am and my parents were/are hella pissed about it. Psha on that.

THIS is the coolest website that ever graced the planet. Its like.. a holy shrine for me or something. All of life's most important secrets can be answered there like the epic "what the fuck does 211 mean???"

Last night we all bollocksed around at diedrichs forever.. had the free pizza hut as usual. Unfortunately most of it was Mike tHH and the other guys being really juvinile and harassing Anna, frankly I think that got really old really fast.
Allison, the girl from Las Vegas, ended up running off to try to get arrested on purpose because she had absolutely nowhere to stay. She's way hard core like that. Did I mention that when I met her yesterday she was trying to find someone who would fight her for money? Yea craziness. She's into hip-hop, whats up with that?

And speaking of forgetting to mention things, Matt Morgan totally tried to dye his hair black the other day (it was bleached) but (drunkenly) bought blue hair dye by mistake.. now his hair is blue and he thinks he'll get fired. Matt: "Hey Abby, if I get fired can you pick me up from work today?" Abby: "What time are you going to get fired?"

Last night I had this dream; I was walking through a castle and there was a tapestry on the wall with all these knights on it and their names, like "Lord Worcestershire" and "Lord Liecester" and shiznaz, and then there was "Knight of the Pastries." I kid you not. I was like "wtf?"
Then I woke up and it was totally pouring outside.. god I love the rain

Now I gotta scramble to make it to work on time aaa.

So yesterday, Saturday, we were all hanging out at Diedrichs like we allllways do right. And then Mike the Horrible Human decides to up and throw a bottle at two completely random middle-aged women who were coming in to diedrichs (recall when he tried to throw one at a passing SUV), I guess just because he thought that would make him look like one tough doesn't-give-a-shit mofo. Yea well then he had apologize like no other as the ladies cussed him out, and run and hide when the cops showed up.. yea real tough. Anyway so yea he was gone when the cops arrived and gave us all a lecture. A lecture while I'm drinking beer out of a diedrichs cup that I sharpied "sXe" on the top of. Heehee. But yea it sucked. And they were like "we're gonna start cracking down on the people hanging out here." Thanks a lot Mike.
Then we went to Cordillera elementry, but almost immediately someone yelled "cops" and we fled.. from where they were standing though I'm pretty sure they couldn't see any inbound cops on us. I think it was even Brandon that called it, focker. Then to Top of the World for a bit. Sure enough as soon as we returned to Diedrichs to bring people back to their cars the cop popped up immediately to investigate what we were up to, and then was seen marauding back and forth on the nearby streets. Then I think we spent 40 minutes trying to convince Matt Morgan that he was too drunk to drive. He wouldn't let anyone else drive his car, and he needed his car in the morning so it needed to go home with him.. quite a quandry.

The one good aspect is that Mike is now blacklisted from Diedrichs. I hope they enforce it.

Now I work 12:00 to 20:00. I hate that shift.
The Promise Ring cover of "Gouge Away" by the pixies was going through my head over and over again as I lay in bed this morning for some reason.

I spent mass time driving around and finally found Ace hardware, whereupon I spent $1.29 on a new Thingy to hold my chains to my belt.

My god the roads are swarming with "Hummer H2"s. And man.. these things are freakin the biggest (and most hideious) joke since the PT Cruiser. Like.. the "original" hummer is entirely utilitarian and thats what the big deal is, and besides that it has this for awesome predatory hyena kinda look to it right? The new one for all practical purposes is just a giant SUV, that probably is worse at SUVing than a real SUV, and LOOKS like some horrible cross between a rhinoceros and a school bus.

There were 53 people at Diedrichs tonight, not including our group. Most of them were these teenie-bopper types who we're pretty sure were also jesus-freaks.

Mike the Horrible Human was pushing the limits of getting in a fight with me pretty close today. I was thinking about it and even though he is bigger than me, he is a COMPLETE alcoholic and I'm SURE he doesn't work out.. whereas I'm actually in pretty good shape right now... just gotta keep an eye out for his switchblade.....

Where to start? Jessie is in the hospital now.. but thats not where I'm gonna start. Lets start with the mundane things.
Today was apparently animal night at diedrichs. Crispy and Abby brought this massive hermit crab they'd bought, and there was a huge black widow on the table in a cup. Shyea. I polished my shoes.. and then the bracket thing that holds my chain(s) to my belt broke so I went to the hardware store.. but it was closed. Sadness. Mike the Horrible Human was evidently off humping some random girl he briefly showed up with.. I think thats the fourth girl that I know of that he's humped in the two weeks or so I've known him.
Matt Morgan eventually turned up, much to our relief because no one knew where he was... apparently HE didn't either.. he couldn't remember anything after about 15:30 (it was 21:00 something). Then eventually Jessie turned up... and it soon became apparent that she was totally messed up on numerous different drugs. Laney, Matt Morgan, and Stephanie told her they were taking her to carls jr, and proceeded to take her to the hospital. Concern for her dominated the rest of the evening.
A cop showed up soon at Diedrichs causing us to flee. I proceeded to Top of the World where several other people had already gone. When the subject of Jessie was brought up Brandon said something about not wanting to deal with the drama and left... I think Crispy best summed that up, by shouting after him "way to not deal with things fucker." Someone else added "thanks for not caring." Yea, Brandon definitely has zero points in my book and I'm glad to see some of the people who previously had a good opinion of him are starting to realize that he's just a fucknut poser. A second opinion.
After about half an hour of being chased by sprinklers there I returned to Diedrichs to get free pizza hut. As always various others of our group showed up from time to time to fetch their cars and suchforth. The End.

Having complained about the diedrichs lifestyle in my last post, I must say last night was more pleasant than I expected. We totally rocked out at Diedrichs to 80s music Crispy was blasting from his car.. and I swear if I ever get some kind of musical talent and become famous, more than one of my music videos is just gonna be Crispy rocking out. He was wearing his girlfriend Abby's clothes. It was too funny.
Then we ended up at Top of the World. There were like a dozen of us. We just kicked around there till the sprinklers came on and then we fled. Returning to Diedrichs for the free Pizza Hut (from Taco Bell), these two other guys I've never seen before emerged from the opposite corner of the parking lot on cue for food.. psha on that! So I just relieved them of one pizza and some breadsticks. Later Mike the Horrible Human showed up and asked me how much food I had.. when I said I only had one pizza he made some sarcastic remark that ended in "fuck you!" and left. Obviously he thought I was lying.. awwww I hope I hurt his widdle feelings. Ass.
I now have a leather jacket, a rather antique looking visor-cap and someone's blanket in my car. I think the blanket belongs to Laney and the other stuff belongs to Matt Christie. On that note Laney broke up with me* yesterday because I was talking to this girl Sarah who showed up. I was heartbroken. But "its cool we can still be friends."
Suzanne is "addicted to the Diedrichs Kids"

Just got back from Wild Rivers. Couldn go swimming because they were in the middle of a state audit. I learned that Aquatics Director Kevin Kopeny hasn't been around because "he's still at that court case." I of course have no knowledge of a court case.. they like to keep these things hush hush. I hope they get good and sued. ::Shakes fist::

   I totally crave a sandwich.

*psh Laney is totally Matt Morgan's gf. Pay attention.

For the extremely concise version of yesterday's activities, check this.

Additionally I met some friends at "the chocobean" coffee shop to transfer them funds on behalf of someone else as part of a certain secret operation (and no it doesn't involve trafficking of drugs). Apparently they had an aversion to Diedrichs. ::shurg::
   Then I swam laps
Then we had us a bonfire on capo beach again... it was tight, sitting on the beach with the bonfire, 40 of steel reserve in hand, while Crispy plays his guitar. Even if he WAS playing dashboard songs hehehe.
Matt told me they are totally hiring at the lumber yard he works at. I am totally going to check it out. He and Laney apparently suddenly broke up yesterday. ::shurg::
Then we went to a jacuzzi. I don't think any of us actually live in the community where its located but we know the code to get in for some reason.
Evening concluded with Katie and I getting free taco bell at midnight. Apparently they do this like every night. We didn even need to say anything we just walked up to the window and they handed us three personal-pizzas and two orders of breadsticks (its a taco bell / pizza hut). Then Alyssa, who hadn been out with us that night, randomly showed up... cause you know, the Diedrichs lot is the place to randomly show up at at midnight.

Spotlight on the Diedrichs Crew
So I realize I'm casually bandying around these people's names like everyone knows who they are, even though _I_ didn't even know almost any of them two weeks ago. And seeing as I like to think that people read my livejournal, and therefore hope that while it may have massively long entries, it at least is not disconcerting like that, I shall explain a bit about the people whose natural habitat is the Diedrichs off La Paz.

The only one of them I knew more than two weeks ago was Katie D'agistino. Her best friend is Laney, whom I call "Shillaligh" ("shill-ay-lee"). Shillaligh WAS dating this kid Matt, who's pretty for awesome. But he's not to be confused with the OTHER Matt, formerly "the guy with the Steel Reserve & Flogging Molly shirts" (or SRFM). Then there's the two Chrises, Krispy (Chrispy?), and Croa (AKA "Croat")(Suzanne's "Evil Ex"). Apparently I am "K-Dawg," at least according to Laney. Also there is totally Becka ([livejournal.com profile] momentsxwasted), whom I just inspired to write The Diedrichs Crew - In Depth. Otherwise there's other people that come and go, but these are the kids that are ALWAYS at Diedrichs.

Life at the House of Fricke
So I've been swimming regularly. As a consequence my dad has taken to jokingly inviting me to go swim with them in the ocean at 6am. They really do this. Like once a week or so he and his friends swim a mile in the ocean at 6am. Wacky. In addition they of course do lots of other working otu too, but 6am in the ocean. ::shudder::. Dad runs triathalons you see.
After dinner the other day dad invited me to try some excellent honey that recently came from one of the hives. It really was particularly exquisite honey. It just struck me a very Fricke moment though... us and our beehives.
And then that same evening (this is all from day before yesterday, when my only lj entry was the quizes), I notice a black widow spider in a jar on the table. Apparently mother found it at the yarn store she now works at... and of COURSE decided to bring it home as a pet. My family is kinda weird.

OMG, further proof that COMMIES are REAL ULTIMATE POWER, though you can see other opinions here. The sorority girl one is particularly choice. And of course, pirates have always been strong contenders for real ultimate power.

and as if this entry wasn't already long enough...

Finally went to the hardware store and got brilliant red lights. yay.
Then I went for icecream with Shasta. We stopped by the Diedrichs off La Paz afterwords, but none of the usual people were there, I asked one of the employees "where is everyone?" and he said he thought they went to the beach.

I had made definite plans to hang out with Nidia this evening, but couldn't get ahold of her today. My god why do so many people flake out on me? Is it something about me? Because I'm a bad person maybe?
I decided to check out the Diedrichs Bree spoke of yesterday while I tried to figure out what to do.. the Diedrichs at Muirlands / Lake Forest. From there I went to rendezvous with Bree at DOA ("Dennies Off Alicia"), and to my surprise I find that she is with the kids from Diedrichs off La Paz (DLP?).. so that was just way funny, ending up running into those same kids anyway.
One of the DLP crew kids, Becka, and this other guy spent literally 40 minutes trying to determine how they knew eachother.. they went through everything, listed every class they'd taken (They both went to Saddleback College, as if that wasn't enough of a connection right there), listed all their friends, everything.. eventually they discovered they'd had the same therapist.. that explains a lot. Later in response to something Becka said "that is SO going in my livejournal ([livejournal.com profile] momentsxwasted)." Word.
