So I keep hearing reports of people finding this journal by searching my name on google. Most recently my friend Hannah claims the Director of Aquatics at Wild Rivers searched my name, found the journal, and became filled with loathing for me over something I'd written or something. I don't know what I've written that could have bothered him, but I've been meaning to call him so we'll see if he hates me more than usual. Also my evil brother [livejournal.com profile] nibot claims that he found my livejournal after .27 seconds of searching by typing my name into google, but I think he's just being saucy because I consciously never wrote my name in this journal until about a year after its existence, at which point [livejournal.com profile] nibot had already discovered it through [livejournal.com profile] roxymartini and hence so had the parents.

So I decided to check this out and searched for my name on google.
  • First two finds are from articles in the California Aggie about the ASUCD supreme court (1, 2).

  • Second two are from this Center for Voting and Democracy.

  • Followed by emails for the AGnostic & Atheist Student Assn (AGASA), of which I am president

  • Davis College Green Party webpage. This should not be taken to imply I am actually a member of the green party. I transcend all party lines.

  • "Lisa Davis' Poetry." Yes thats right. I appear in a poem by none other than the infamous Lisa Davis. To quote the part that appears on the google results page "...daisy (thanks to vicki for that quicky gimmicky hickey on my picky tricky she's sticky like that mouse mickey that's tight like my man kris [my last name])"

  • minutes from an ASUCD Senate meeting dated 04/08/04, and again further down for 05/06/04

  • "Research Journal Articles" - "...Ogletree, Shirley M., Sue W. Williams, Paul Raffeld, Bradley Mason, and Kris [my last name] (1990), "Female Attractiveness and Eating Disorders: Do Children's..." !!
  • Finally on page two, two entries from this livejournal from last February come up due to the copywrite line under photographs. Good thing I got saucy and started putting those in the actual photograph.

  • an obituary for someone with my same name!

  • two stories I've written.

  • And finally, everything gets tied nicely together, because you see the infamous Jackson Pritt, then a cartoonist for the California Aggie, wrote a (somewhat derisive if I recall correctly) comic about none other than the abovementioned Lisa Davis based on a conversation that took place at my epic party in 2003. The google result of which I speak is his livejournal entry on the subject.

So I dunno.. whats all that say about me?

The Reverend Returns
While looking at the Cal Aggie, I noticed that former ASUCD President Tiqula "the reverend" Bledsoe wrote a letter-to-the-editor that will appear in tomorrow's Aggie. In it he claims that UC Davis is more segregated than the University of Mississippi, because the U of M is admitting four times as many african-american students as Davis.
I just couldn't resist but point out that since California is 6.7% african-american, and Mississippi is 30% african-american (source), meaning Miss SHOULD be admitting 4.5 times more african-americans.

I'm sorry, I just hate misleading statistics.

Mom (?) had heard that you had a livejournal. I went to the UC Davis community and looked at the members list. It took only a few guesses to find out which was you. I had no idea that you and roxymartini knew each other.

i don't know why you're still obfuscating your last name -- googling for your name and "livejournal" finds your journal immediately.

That's pretty nice. I'd like to hear more about the student court.

Hehe oh I'm sure you will. Or at least there'll be relevant things in the year ago.

Basically I'm the chief justice of the supreme court of the ASUCD (our student government), and basically there's no real precedent for it and people aren't used to accomodating it because it didn't really function previously.

And it makes us here at emosnail feel obligated to state repeatedly that nothing we say (this comment included) reflects anything relevant to any actual or potential cases or defendants before the ASUCD court.

Except I'm not one of the 416 people who are watching the UCDavis community and I don't believe you searched through the 679 names of people who are members of the community and found this one in a jiffy. You may have known there was a snail theme to most of my screen names but I don't think this one really screams me to one sifting through 600+ names. (Yes the members in both those categories would have been fewer a year ago, but I doubt its enough to make it a relevantly easier number to digest as you say you did).

And I'm quite sure you knew I already knew [livejournal.com profile] roxymartini.

AND mother stated unambiguously that you had said it popped right up on google.. so the story is changing? And on any account, the important detail was whether it was findable via google and your alternate proposal for how you found it is not google.

In conclusion I do not buy your story, and I believe your arguments are flimsey like a tofu bratwurst.

Well, whatever. I don't really care what you choose to believe, but I did find you via ucdavis community.

Yes, it came from him to you, but I believe that he found it through [livejournal.com profile] roxymartini and not one of his other saucy explanations, all of which appear to me to have the consistency of tofu juice (which I might note, is surely weak sauce).
