Month Summary
Feb. 20th, 2003 08:25 am I decided the other day that I should make month-long summaries in here as well, and put them in the memories section, so that newcomers to this crazy narrative won't be completely lost. Coincidentally I was planning on doing that today, and today just happens to be exactly one month after I started the livejournal. Wacky.
THE COFFEEHOUSE EPOCH
January 20th - February 19th, 2003
It of course all started on Monday, January 20th. That weekend had included the notorious "Hot Dan's" Glam Rock Party at which my bike, peacoat and pocketwatch were stolen, AND it was the weekend my heater broke, heralding several weeks of ice age. At the other end of the time period in question, we have my firing from the Coffee House where I'd worked the whole interim. Essentially by coincidence then, this last month has been a distinct period at which significant changed occured at both ends. The significance of my loss of transportation at the begining and peacoat which was basically part of my personality should not be underestimated. The walk-in-refridgerator coldness of my room persisted more or less until a few days ago. I actually got somewhat used to it but it certainly had a negative effect on my life while it lasted.
At that infamous party though I met Amy Zimmerman and gained the article of clothing for which I'd probably be most recognized during the rest of time period in question; Amy's "Epitaph" sweatshirt.
During the subsequent month, I went on to meet Sharon (Amy's twin sister), Vanessa (at the second Lounge show), Don (Not even sure exactly when, he's practically everywhere), Antoinette, Annie (resultant of writing my livejournal URL on a whiteboard at the List party), Ozma (Star and Jose in particular) and Arjun and Eric from the List.
The month encompassed four parties, so that averages out to a nice healthy one wild party per week. First there was The List party on 02/24, which may or may not have actually been a party for or by The List, but it was at the house where some of them live so for lack of a better name... Then on 03/08 I managed to make substantial appearances at both The Scarf Party and Cuddy's Party. The former being the creation of several design majors, who apparently have a propensity to wear scarves, and the former beign a surprise party for everyone's favorite Lance Corporal, Mike Cuddy who got called up and sent to the exciting and exotic location of 29 Palms. Most recently there was Nick and Chaz's Anti-Valentines-Day Party on.. Valentines Day. Fancy that. A very good party as far as parties go.
I'm going to go ahead and update this thing now even though its not finished, updates to this entry are just about guarenteed within the next few days so.. yea
