Return to Davis II
Mar. 31st, 2003 01:03 am Arrgh. The post I was working on got lost. I am very displeased.
Anyway, the much much much shorter version of what I had already said, since I'm too demoralized to write it again: I am back in Davis. The car which is to be transfered into my possession might be about to die. More on that later.
That is the three paragraphs I had previously typed in less then a nutshell. Blah.
In other news, at nationstates.net, my nation of Blehtahepdakorum was inexplixplicably redesignated from "Psychotic Dictatorship" to "Iron Fist Consumerists," much to my shock and displeasure. Not only that but Civil Rights were changed from "outlawed" to "rare." I totally can't remember any decision I made that could have resulted in this. The current description is as follows:
"The Dominion of Blehtahepdakorum is a very large, environmentally stunning nation, notable for its complete absence of social welfare. Its compassionate, cynical population of 74 million are kept under strict control by the oppressive government, which measures its success by the nation's GDP and refers to individual citizens as "human resources."
The large, corrupt, moralistic government juggles the competing demands of Law & Order, Defence, and Public Transport. The average income tax rate is 27%, but much higher for the wealthy. A small but healthy private sector is dominated by the Information Technology industry.
Cars are banned, Harry Potter books are banned, college students make ends meet by selling their kidneys, and the alarmingly racist TV show 'Bigtopians Say the Darndest Things' is a hit. Crime -- especially youth-related -- is well under control, thanks to the all-pervasive police force. Blehtahepdakorum's national animal is the saber-toothed snail, which frolics freely in the nation's many lush forests, and its currency is the bogon.

New quarter starts tomarrow.. I'm waitlisted for half my classes still. Psha on that.
