aggienaut: (soviet)

I added several new icons to livejournal, and finally put an icon up on deviantart.
In other news, Love Actually is without a doubt the worst movie I've had the misfortune of coming in contact with. Yes, worse even than Bring It On (which itself made me physically sick). I don't even know what to say about this movie - it is an abomination.

Commercials, a rant by the Emosnail(tm) editorial board
   1. KFC - In my opinion, Kentucky Fried Chicken "KFC"'s marketting department has been taken over by uninspired and retrograde nimrods. Specifically, I speculate that they all flunked out of college for trying too hard to immitate the MTV lifestyle that only really exists on MTV and in the Sterling apartment complex here in Davis. They remain convinced however, that portraying Kentucky fried chicken as associated with all things white trash is somehow going to boost their sales. And "KFC" is "cooler" than "Kentucky Fried Chicken??" Please, kids, bring back the colonel.
   2. Milk - remember the heyday of milk commercials? I haven't the faintest idea who Alexander Hamilton is but I know one thing for sure - he was shot by Aaron Burr. I don't think any commercial has ever been so educational. Thanks to it, millions of people now know a random and useless peice of historical trivia. The following "got milk" commercials along the same theme continued to be highly amusing, and even the "its the cheese" thing wasn't that bad. But now.. the creepy x-ray bone thing? All I can say is.. WTF???

Picture of the Day

Our protagonist's "connections" at UC Davis on thefacebook.com, as of now. Everyone above his name is ASUCD and everyone below his name is livejournal (except for Priya, and I don't know why she's down there since the only other person she's connected to is at the top)
