Soviet Succession

   Today I studied and didn't leave the apartment.

   I was going to call the barber that lives in the MU basement to cancel the appointment I'd had with him, but he wasn't listed in any of the phone books. Is he going to wreak a terrible revenge upon my hair for not telling him I cancelled next time I go in for a haircut?

   I almost miss the Dining Commons sandwich materials. I do not miss the main courses at all, but the sandwich materials upon which I subsisted I do slightly miss. Salami is expensive!! And the steady supply of bagels for breakfast. Yes that was convenient. And the late-night curly fries they had last year, I do miss those.

   So of course the current rage around here is thefacebook.com. Kristy finally gave in and registered on it, so y'all can go add her now. When I look at Kristy's profile on there it says "you are in a relationship with Kristy." Thanks for informing me?
   And on the edit user info page, under the relationship listing, there is a button titled "cancel relationship." Such sauce.

   Year Ago Today: There was no entry one year ago today, one year ago at this moment I was either lying on the ground unconscious or being rushed to the hospital in an ambulance.
      28 Hours Later: "why I haven't been home for more than 28 hours now"
      UCDP Case #D306-992: Officer Chang termed the events "just a fight" and refused to look into any of the leads we had. He was later fired from the police force within a month (for matters unrelated to the case), but alleged racism and was I believe reinstated. There has been no justice.

   I was making a new icon for use on thefacebook.com (fig.2 below), but pretty soon it developed into a fit of procrastination in which I messed around with two other pictures as well. The usericon for this post of course was one of them. It can probably be colorized from the original better.. I think someone else should do that because (A) some people are good at such things and (B) I should probably not be wasting time on such projects right now. But yea it comes from a picture I drew during the Davis MUN conference last year (2003). Pictures of the drawings of "emo trogdor" and "trogdor eating in-n-out" didn't come out as well.

   Right now however I'm feeling like I like the original "soviet" icon better. The icons referenced in the poll are of course behind the lj-cut.
