Resultant of another long day of working on a paper, I really can't account for large amounts of time. Here is what I can put together about whats happened recently:
The Salsa King
I couldn't open the salsa I intended to eat with some chips. It seriously wouldn't open. Attempting to open this container may account for more time than you'd think. Eventually I declared it was "like excalibur" and only the chosen one could open it.
Local adventurer and polish refugee, Mr Przemek Pawlik, AKA Shemek, AKA
polishgodfather, who happens to live in a nearby cottage, decided to answer this challenge. When brute force didn't avail to him, he resorted to craftiness and used a knife to lever the lid off. He then declared that this was evidence that craftiness was better than brute force, to which I responded that whining was surely an even more powerful force. Then we somehow discussed the thrill of committing felonies (This livejournal does not endorse the commission of felonies).
On any account, by analogy, Shemek has been declared the Salsa King. His domain is aisle three in safeway, and The Grad on Thursday nights.
Daviswiki
I also took the opportunity to browse around daviswiki.org. I found that it has numerous useful and interesting entries which may help the uninitiated better understand the context of some things I discuss here; and also may give a broader perspective for those who are nervious about relying on this livejournal as their primary news source for certain issues. Though we think upon comparing to other sources you'll find this livejournal shockingly accurate and impartial, we do strongly discourage the use of a single news source exclusively.
As such, the following are daviswiki entries that we think you may find relevant and/or interesting:
ASUCD Elections Committee
Election Statement Controversy
Sword & Sandals (The UC Davis leadership secret society)
Chancellor Vanderhoef
Free Beer (this topic is suprisingly well covered, with links to seperate entries on Natty Ice, Frat Parties, Bro Parties, Bros, etc)
Kris Fricke (you can leave a comment!)
Previously on EMOSNAIL - Marberry v Madison Pie
A year ago today I made a particularly long entry. It detailed the events of AMWEST 2003, the significant newspaper headlines that as usual cropped up while I was off at AMWEST, and Thanksgiving.
