   I've got two minutes and thirty seconds to post this before midnight. Man I thought I wouldn't make it. I really need to figure out that phone post phone number. Though my phone has been misbehaving all weekend. I'm not going to even attempt to make this interesting. This is a pitiful attempt to maintain a post a day. I seriously thought for sure I wasn't going to find a way.

5 of 30 - Cell Phone Misbehaviour

   So as I noted earlier, I was in Santa Barbara for the weekend. Mapquest tells me Santa Barbara is 392 miles south of here, a 6 hour, 18 minute drive.
   I planned on phosting (making phone posts) from there, but a number of things conspired to stop me from doing so. One was the fact that the lj phone number I had in my phone no longer worked. The other was that my phone was conspiring against me the entire time.
   I'd packed my cell phone recharger originally. When I leave my apartment for a trip there are two things I ask myself if I have, one is my cell phone recharger, the other is my belt (usually I need to be in business attire and I forget my professional belt or something). But my overnight bag was at Kristy's place, so I packed my stuff into a temporary bag and brought it there, where I transferred it to my normal bag.
   By the time I went to bed the first night there were already people sleeping in the same room as me and I couldn't find a socket to plug the recharger in without light so I had to go without (and as my phone is my alarm I couldn't do it in another room). Needless to say my phone died the next day.
   When we get back to where I'm staying I eagerly scamper to my stuffage to get the recharger and refill the mana in my cell phone -- only to find its not there! Apparently it got left at Kristy's place when I transferred my shiznaz. So all weekend my phone was pretty much dead. I was able to borrow someone else's recharger for a short time but generally my phone was awol.

   Returning home, I was supposed to be at a meeting at 7pm. At about 6:30 I was still an hour and a half away so I managed to call someone from the group and just barely got out that I wouldn't make it before the phone cut out.
   Refilling my gas tank back in town I decided I needed a rockstar energy drink because I was stressed and had a lot of work to do, and am addicted to rockstar. The gas station had everything EXCEPT rockstar though, much to my angst.
   I had such a craving that I proceeded directly to the grocery store formerly known as Ray's Food Place. And THEY didn't have rockstar either! WTF?! So instead I got this energy drink I'd never heard of before called "ludicrous." I think I'll compare it and other energy drinks later in 30 in 30.
   Then my plan was to go home, plug my phone into the recharger ASAP, and make the necessary phone calls with asapness. As I hurry into my room I realize.. the recharger isn't there.. its at Kristy's place. Nor can I call Kristy. !! So I quickly look around my complex for a public telephone but alas there was none. I briefly considered looking on daviswiki for payphones in west davis, but alas my computer wasn't connected and takes like twenty minutes to turn on. So I ended up going BACK to Ray's Food Place to use a payphone there.
   The first payphone didn't work but I was able to leave a messege from the second one. From there I proceeded to Kristy's, where she wasn't to be found but I was able to retrieve the recharger. Finally I returned to my lair and everything was in order.

   I then set about venting about my troubles in an entry, (this entry), which as I explained to Kristy "it'll take me asap because I have a lot to vent."
