Yesterday at work I learned that the plural of "Mr." is "Messrs." For serious.

On a similar note, I keep coming across references to retired judges as "The Hon. Firstname Lastname (Ret.)," as if "the Hon." is some kind of military rank they are retired from or something. "The Honourable" is a prefix, which, once gained by a judge, is not lost once one no longer holds the position. Therefore, especially when retired judges are listed alongsided other persons who I'm assuming are retired lawyers (I come across these as lists of persons available to arbitrate or mediate lawsuits), it does not make sense to list "the Hon X Y (ret.)" but not put "(ret.)" on the people who lack "hon."    And in unrelated news, in French class we've been told we are to write a one page paper, in English, comparing something French with something American... and then we'll orally present it to class, in english. How long have we been given for htis epic report? A month! What ho, in real college something like that would be due the next day if not the end of class. A month to write a page?!
(Maybe I should write about how they messed up our abbreviation for "mister")

Also, looks like internet tripe hawkers have discovered facebook advertising -- it used to be all real local things, now its all advertisements for "real local singles" d=
Personally, I think, for the good of society, internet dating should be outlawed. If you can't meet someone in the real world, you probably shouldn't breed. (=
