Back at Work
Sep. 15th, 2008 01:30 pm Back at work. Mainly nailing equipment together (eyelets into the sidebars of frames). Responded to a call this morning though about bees in a wall for a law firm.
"There's one now!" says the maintenance man on site pointing up.
"Um, thats a dragonfly"
We ask if he can lock the door under the ladder we've put up so no one comes out and kills us.
"Yeah I'll just send out an email" Typical law firm behaviour. Locking and/or putting a note on the door in question would make a lot more sense, but they like to mass email the office about every little thing.
Picture of the Day

Unrelated to the Above
Whenever one orders something at Subway or a gas station or anywhere with a counter really, they're going to ask you "anything else?"
And I very pointedly ALWAYS respond "no that is all" (as opposed to a simple yes or no)
And yet, they ALWAYS follow with "would you like the combo?" or "would you like a hot dog?"
NO I DON'T WANT A FRIGGEN HOT DOG. If I did, I would have picked one up before I came to the register, and or certainly would not have taken the time to say "that is all" after they scanned my energy drink.
Seriously people. Every time.
