Just Runnin a Business

   I don't update this livejournal nearly enough anymore.* So what's the latest?

* see emo_snal for more regular updates these days.

Travel
(1) NY / Barcelona / Zaragoza - a week from this Friday I am leaving for New York, wherefrom I am leaving on the 14th (of May) to Barcelona, Spain, with my friend Kerri. We'll be out there a week and a half, during which time we also plan to spend some days in the town of Zaragosa. I expect it will be awesome.
(2) Epic Roadtrip 2009 - is still on the books for this summer theoretically. No real planning has gone into it as yet and there are no other participants signed up at this time. But hey, that hasn't slowed us down one bit in the past! ;D Anyone interested in joining the epic adventure is strongly encouraged to drop me a line.
(3) Turkey / Israel / Egypt - in October with my good friends Aaron and Mark, and Aaron's wife, and some friends of theirs. I expect it will be extremely epic.


Employment
   After a recent stint in the law mines I'm back at bee busters. Now I have an assistant beekeeper under me and am in charge of actually launching the beekeeping into a whole company of it's own. Time to figure out how to write a business plan! O:
   Notwithstanding, I'm still crossing my fingers for a certain job I applied for and also still plotting to do peace corps / get into the State Dept one way or another.

Unrelated Picture of the Day

My friend Mark transfers the imperial stout we just made from the fermentation bucket into my oak barrel. The one expert we consulted (Brewing supply store employee) didn't think carbonation would work in the barrel / I was concerned about trub in the barrel if any fermentation went on in there, so after aging it we're still going to have to put it in bottles with priming sugar to carbonate it (or we're also considering purchasing a keg, with which we can apparently "force carbonate" it with relative asapness).
