Just got back from a weekend up in the snow at Big Bear

Until March:
(A) Working in the bee mines.
(B) Taking "Coastal Navigation" and auditing "Advancing Cruising Under Sail" at the local JC. I will be heading back out to sea before these classes end.

March:
(A) Early March - may be helping sail a 42 ft sailboat up from San Jose Del Cabo (on the tip of the Baja Peninsula) up to Dana Point here. Awaiting final word on this. They said they'd even may my airfare down to the boat! Cruising up here would take ten days.
(B) My friend Angela will be visiting March 11th - 19th and we'll probably roam the state and visit places such as the Bay Area.
(C) March 19th-24th Ange and I will then move the adventure to New York!
(D) March 24thish I will proceed straight from there to whichever-airport-is-closest-to-Newport-Oregon (anyone know?) to catch up with the Hawaiian Chieftain...

March-September
(A) Six month contract as Education Coordinator on the tallship Hawaiian Chieftain! Sailing around the Puget Sound / San Juan Islands and such!

Thereafter
(A) Finally got around to completing the Peace Corps application and sent it in. Ideally they'll take me sometime not terribly long after my sailing contract ends, and I'll spend 27 months in a hut in some god forsaken backwater, hooray! :D
(C) After (A) above hopefully I'll finally be able to finagle my way in to the Foreign Service or a UN agency. ...if not I might just have to join the foreign legion. :D

Set course for adventure!

The talented and excellent [livejournal.com profile] zia_narratora has brought it to my attention that today is "Hourly Comic Day!!" One is simply to doodle a little comic or so every hour, preferably about something relating to the past hour. Notwithstanding I only discovered this after 1pm, I figure I'll jump right in for the rest of the day.

As to the above cartoon, I just drew it, but obviously it relates to a number of hours ago, whatever, don't hate! Unfortunately I left the L off "Dave Doppler," I hope I conveyed the little story adequately: everyone suddenly jumps to work the moment Dave the Giant Stick Figure shows up to work. I'm assuming the giant steaming wax melter is probably mystifying to most -- I'll clarify it in an upcoming hour.

So as not to spam my friends list I think I'll edit future hourly installments into this entry, so check back here! Tomorrow morning maybe I'll post them all at once again, since I have no faith in anyone caring enough to check back here ;)
