   Anyway, unfortunately I got blue paint on them while painting beehives, and they've developed a large gash on one side (yet as evidenced when I accidentally stepped in a pool of brine at Searles Lake, are still remarkably waterproof!). Though they are still a fully functional set of shoes, they look kind of shitty, and I prefer to have boots that I can polish up and wear around (personally, I think I think it looks awesome to wear polished boots with a suit, all office oriented from head to foot and then -- boots. My mother however informs me its a war-crime for me to do so). So its time to relegate my trusty 8761 series docs to tromping about brine pools and roofs.

   In other news, the eternal problem in Orange County is that everyone lives with their parents here, since housing costs are outragious, so one can never hang out at anyone's place. Literally I think my friend Mark is the only one I know who doesn't, because he landed himself a sweet job as an executive at Del Taco. So one is usually stuck with the bars, which suck.
   But on Friday night I hung out with my friend Janice and her friend Becky in the jacuzzi of their commmunity pool. I drank both the imperial Russian stout and the barleywine by Stone Brewery and they were both extremely excellent. Altogether, good times.
   On Saturday Veronica Borrowdale had a birthday party.. at her/ her parents house.

no speed laces? ?? bah. all my taller boots have speed laces, so I voted 7 as that's all I have time to actually lace up.

Girls inviting u to birthday parties can never be too bad! I think I've given up on asking guys out - they have to ask me out from now on.
