So whats the deal with this "Twitter" thing everyone seems to be getting on? People post one line messeges all day about whatever happens to pop into their head? But its got to be too short to actually convey anything nonfrivolous? But everyone seems to be doing it? I don't get it. Explain to me.

In other news last night I dremt I was about to get on a plane with friends to leave a tropical island but got bit by a deadly snake moments before boarding, so my friends left me behind because otherwise I'd just die on the plane. But I didn't die. So I took a boat back and it took forever and eventually was sinking when I woke up. Good times.

Analysis: (If you care for that): You graduated from college with wonderful plans to go out and do fabulous things. (tropical island) Your friends who are leaving you behind have all found their fabulous things but you have not (deadly snake bite). You know it's looking pretty scary right now (left behind to die). So you're taking a slower approach (the boat). It should work but it's not happening yet. In fact, you fear that this plan too may be failing (sinking).

The key I guess is to wake up. Take some positive action. Shave. Look for a real job while you inquire about the exotic ones.

can you believe you can actually start a company based on such a concept?

someone could clone twitter with about 15 minutes of programming.

Twitter is blogging, but abbreviated! Which is to say, it contains an equal amount of inanity by volume.

Eh, well. I would imagine inanity (or the lack thereof) in blogging follows more along the principal of economies of scale rather than strict proportion.

So if X is the measure of non-inanity, and an entry with a length of 1 fictional length units has an X of 1, if FLU = 5, X will likely be 10 or 15 rather than simply 5.

Propensity to be BORING however will follow an inverse curve to this.

The best part is their horrible ability to even keep the service running. It's down constantly and they have a crap-load of problems.
