Day 6 - Friday, May 15th - Kerri and I went down to the old part of town, the Gothic Quarter, and spent most of the day perusing the many quaint narrow winding streets. Saw a protest of some kind in front of a government building of some kind (and took pictures of the riot police that were standing by). The gothic cathedral was unfortunately undergoing repairs and covered with ugly construction equipment. Also visited Spain's Arc de Triomf (more like Arc de Pretty Good!). And of course we had some sangria and some tapas at various little bars.
Tapas are just tasty little morsels you can buy at bars in the afternoon for a euro or two. They are a tasty idea that they should pick up elsewhere.
That evening a group from the hostel was going to a club so we went with them. About maybe a dozen and a half people from all kinds of different countries went out with the group.
Day 7 - Saturday, May 16th - Kerri and I head out to Mount Montjuic, a hill overlooking the city. It has a castle on it and some museums nearby.
Castell de Montjuic was pretty neat and I took a number of pictures.
