Well you see.. I had rather gotten the sense that she might fancy me, based on a number of the subtle things one uses to detect such things (ie her sitting next to me more frequently that random chance would dictate, often otherwise finding herself near me, etc) and well, suggesting I could sleep in her bed, but I'm a lonely lad with no love life to speak of and I do find her fun and cute but precisely because it IS a very small boat I didn't make any moves upon her. But then this new guy Otis showed up and the were very flirty and that same day she started acting very weird to me and informed me she didn't want to share her bed "for a few days" ..
so my diagnosis of what happened is that despite my efforts to keep things entirely platonic, when another lad showed up who she was (more) interested in she still felt like she needed to push me away and guilt about suddenly switching on me like that led her to avoid me. d:
