Aren't the bees kind of docile when they're swarming? I always thought they were docile and when they were swarming was the time when they were least aggressive... is that wrong?

Any chance of saving the bees? I wish exterminator was synonymous with relocater :P

The bees in the above pictured chimney are of course not swarming but living there. It is true though that when swarming they are extremely docile.

Unfortunately the volume of bee calls we get, which is about 30 calls a day, makes relocating even a significant fraction of them unrealistic. There's simply nowhere to put them all! Contrary to popular belief, commercial beekeepers by and large don't want feral bees, especially from an area of africanization such as here, where any of the feral swarms collected might be africanized and present a huge liability. d:

wow bees on a parking metre.. thats probably one of the very few excuses that could get someone out of a parking ticket :D

City would probably still ticket you or something. I hate when a parking meter is out of order so they put a no parking sign in front of it -- they'd rather NO ONE use the resource than it be used without them getting paid for it. d:
