I think the same thing when they put a whole tomato slice or whole onion slice. THE BURGER IS BIGGER, I will not get a piece in every bite this way!
For me, it's no pickle. Everyone puts pickles on their burgers, but I just don't like the way they crunch! They kinda half-ass their crunch, like somewhere in between tomato and onion. Onions KNOW they're crunchy, tomatoes know they're not, pickles can't decide.
