That's funny about the passenger side-eying you over the screen. I do that all the time, and if I decide I like their movie better, I'll switch.
Reclining seatbacks are always a conundrum for me. I don't ever recline mine back, and it annoys me when the person in front of me does, but I rarely say anything unless I have to do work or unless they slam it back so hard and so quickly that it knocks my water over...which it did once. I complained that time.
