LJ Idol Write Off

I appear to be sick, a fortunately rare occurrence but here it is. So I don't feel like writing much at length, buy my mom is in a write off for 6th place / top five in Livejournal Idol and at the present moment she's fair number of votes behind. I strongly encourage you to go vote for her, and then read her continuing sci fi saga about a colony on Mars.

I have kind of mixed feelings about this, as the other author doesn't have the media presence you and your mom do, and the odds are already stacked against him. :(

I was thinking about this earlier and I feel like maybe the last few votes should all be contestants only because I have a feeling there's a lot of people begging their friends to come vote for them in the end.

That and also I am and have always been very against these run-off votes. They promote competitive vote gathering rather than reading a variety of entries and voting for favorites.

In some Idol seasons, I don't think some of the newer Jury members realized that not giving immunity to anyone was a choice. Or in some weeks but not others.

I still love the numbat in your icon. It's just funny when you see a fully picture of one of them, because OMG-- that part below the neck? That is a fat-looking animal. :O

Thank you! It's long after the fact but I truly appreciate it. Kris and I have discussed for years how it SHOULD be done, but alas, it isn't. I ended up coming in 6th out of about 60 or 70, so I'm pleased with that.
