Coming from the south, if you go from the Hume Highway onto the M5 then join the M7 — which is kind of a ring road, you connect with the M2 on the north side of Sydney, which, as of a couple of months ago, now connects directly to the Pacific Highway to continue on your way... & you won't even see the Sydney CBD, let alone drive through any of it
