Ooh I dunno I think Kenya is worth a visit. It's very safe and has very good tourist infrastructure so tourists visiting "on safari" need never feel unsafe or even unduly discomforted.
I'm not sure I want to go to South Africa, the huge disparity between the whites and native peoples there sound really off putting :X
