That of course is Diedrichs in the background. This is the opposite side of the sign from the one pictured above.

First however, we will recreate the pilgrimage across the bridge to Viejo Liquor. I predict these spraypainted runes of wisdom will be Mike (tHH)'s most lasting mark on Mission Viejo, guiding future generations on their pilgrimages.

Looking back at the the sign pictured earlier to establish location.

Another sign your pilgrimage is on the right track.

A tribute to those who will never again make the pilgrimage to Viejo Liquor.

The Courtyard, a site of much hanging out, particularly during the time we'd all been exiled from Diedrichs because of MtHH's unruly behavior, or after Diedrichs had closed for the night. This shot is probably more or less facing the sign from the first picture, Diedrichs is off to the right at the end of that walkway.

View looking the other way from the Courtyard, towards the Fountain

The Fountain was a much less common place for us to be. Note the vanilla coke I got at Viejo Liquor making its second appearance.

Usually i stick to Diho Siam on Marguerite (or the one on Lake Forest) because its not terribly expensive and i don't really know of any really good or interesting ones around here, though in LA Angepup and i found a cool one open till 2 am. Whats yours?

I think we usually go to Spice Thai near the corner of Muirlands & Ridgeroute. I've eatin at Diho Siam a few times before, once with Croat and his (ex)girlfriend Anna which is recorded in this entry.

I really love thai food. I've eatin at all five thai restaurants in Davis and thoroughly reviewed them - the results of which are all in my thai food memories category.

I'd totally be down with lunch there or something sometime. Think you could bring along anyone else from the old crew? (I can't seem to get ahold of anyone myself)

As well it should be. Now you should go on a pilgrimage and see the legendary Diedrichs Coffee.

I forget, were you reading this lj last summer?

Yea I can't look at the pictures of the courtyard without picturing it filled with a half dozen of us hanging around. ::sigh::

My current plan is to relive the memories one day at a time be looking at my posts from "year ago today" every day. (=

It was fun...but turbulent. I think my life now is ten times better than it was last year. However, I did learn a lot...

I'm still in a state of abject nostalgia over last summer.

Every summer I end up with some group having awesome times I end up missing (summer before last it was Liz and all them kids), so I suppose I'll probably eventually get into my groove for this summer and have a blast as well... for now can't wait for that to happen.. d=

I'm pretty much into working my ass off this summer, and making the most of The Boy before I leave for school. I'm leaving a week from tomorrow for Colorado to see my Grandma...she's 81 and ailing. It'll be a fun little trip with a lot of alone time to think.
