"I'm ugly and you know it but she thinks that I'm a poet"

I think I have to keep up my record now of having put a poem up every day for several days, so here's one I wrote I dunno months ago that actually has nothign to do with anything:

   Insignia on my shoulder,
   Emblem on the flag,
   Orders clearly given,
   Operation under way.

   Uniformed like the others,
   Helmet on my head,
   Inbound on objective,
   Marching measured tread.

   Beneath the falling rain,
   Along a winding road,
   Peaceful houses left behind,
   Burning craters wait ahead.


Now its time for my midafternoon nap...
