So on friday in my UN class, this girl doing a presentation on child soldiers in Uganda became confused as regarding the political situation there as regards Sudan. Not even the teacher could straighten it out. Eventually the professor asked me to draw a diagram on the board. So I ended up drawing a diagram and explaining someone elses oral report out of the whole they'd reported it into.

Is it really that hard to comprehend? The Uganda government is "The Movement," and against it we have the crazy christian rebels of the Lord's Resistance Army. In Sudan on the other hand we have teh central government, and the rebellious Sudanese People's Liberation Army. Now Uganda and Sudan don't like eachother, so each supports eachother's rebellions. This is made somewhat ironic in that the Islamic central government of Sudan supports the christian Lord's Resistance Army against the christian Sudanese People's Liberation Army, but in general it doesn't seem that hard to comprehend to me.

Pictures
I discovered a number of pictures I'd forgotten about on Yahoo photos. So here are some pictures from early 2002 and earlier (including a bonus one of me as an 11th grader!):

The day it snowed in Davis!!

Also I saw a raccoon at Diedrichs the other day:

As you can see it possesses the evil eye of doom

It was too dark to see through the viewfinder. d=

This is what the gorge next to Diedrichs looks like, with a raccoon on a tree.

Of course I couldn't stop updated my livejournal, so I started actually writing my entries down on paper like a caveman and updating later from a computer lab!! Madness! Eventually me uncle gave the computer a labotomy, seriously. Part of the hard drive was messed up so he reformated it and isolated the corrupted part. I still have a mysterious Drive V that doesn't work and accounts for like 5% of the space on this computer.

They look like ink mushrooms, which probably makes them Basidiomycota (or Ascomycota if I'm mistaken). They have a unique way of spreading their spores: They melt into black ink and the spores sink into the ground.
Does that help? :oP
