Undeleted Undeleted!!

   Yesterday I was dismissed from UC Davis, disenrolled from all classes, and refunded all payments.


   Speaking of payments, you may recall I mentioned yesterday it appears the payment I made to the school was deducted twice. That was in fact the case. In one day they tried to take twice the amount of money from me that they should have AND expelled me. Such sauce!


   Today I was down at the financial aid office trying to get that all figured out. They were like "well you SHOULD be getting your full financial aid.... except you were dismissed yesterday" and of course I'm like "omg wtf?" and she shows me the computer screen and sure enough it says "DISMISSED IN SHAME" on my account. Well not really but I'm sure the shame was meant to be implied.

   Next I scamper over to the international relations department and talk to an advisor there. The IR advisors were very helpful - if by helpful you mean hostile, unnecessarily accusatory and not very useful. One advisor insisted that I hadn't ever been enrolled in classes this quarter (even though I appeared on roll sheets on sisweb indicated I was in them), and another advisor flat out told me I had not sent her an email that I had. Now "I don't remember that email" or "I'd have to look again" or something would be understandable considering the volume of email they may get, but no, she told me twice that I certainly did not send her the email. Fortunately I saved a copy when I sent it so hopefully I'll be able to subtly make it clear it already was sent.

   Finally I had an appointment with an advisor in the College of Letters & Science dean's office. When I arrived multiple advisors were looking for my file. They never did find it but the advisors there were very helpful in the actually friendly and helpful sense of the word. There we established it was obviously a mistake and they undeleted me.


   At least the weather is nice today. Its overcast yet warm, and the sun is glowing a nefarious orange due to nearby fires.

Hmm. It might mean more TIME for blogging - but the irony is that more time to blog might mean less blogging; (A) I'd probably have less to write about (B) blogging often occurs as a form of procrastination.

Anyway, I'm back in school, its 1pm and I'm already fighting the urge to make a livejournal entry today.
