My heater is broken again. The temperature in my apartment hasn't reached above 60 in days. The hardest part is getting out of bed I think - there is a clear corrolation between the temperature discrepency between under-covers and not and ability to convince one's body that getting up is something one should do.

Also, the dishwasher is still in shambles, and has been for at least a week since roommate Jason got in a fight with it.

Also, I am out of "coffee legale," the suprisingly bearable instant coffee which I normally subsist on. I have no idea where to find more.

On the plus side however, I went to Kristy's place for thanksgiving (after she and I had thanksgiving with MY parents two weeks ago as well!), and it was delicious. Pieces of sausage in the stuffing? Who would have thought. Brilliant idea.
Kristy's family calls her "Kris." This makes for some confusion

Uh, I just made a series of factual statements. My heater is broken. Did I say "my heater is broken god my life is so hard," "my heater is broken, shower me in sympathy I am suffering so much," or anything else along those lines? No, I made a factual statement about events around me, as I tend to do in this livejournal. But really the joke is on you 65.27.117.86, because I think nearly anyone would agree it is much much more lame to make anonymous derisive comments such as yours than it is to mention that one's heater is broken.

hej!

Hmm yes Tobin ruins all my best attempts at remaining hidden. It was he who originally exposed this livejournal to the rest of my family.

I wonder who that was who was wondering about the language from Davis - I'll have to investigate.

Kris,
Give me a call if you want to borrow a plug-in space heater until your heater is fixed. I think 60 sounds kinda chilly!!

I might just do that. At the moment I don't want to shatter my tenuous grasp on concentration but later when I'm feeling either somewhat accomplished, completely unable to concentrate, or utterly frozen, I'll give you a call.

It's your fault, for using F degrees. The heater will not forgive.

take THAT celsius!

lies! Fahreheit is based on proximity to normal human temperature (albeit a wee bit off); celsius is based on water boiling. I dunno, maybe if I boiled water on a regular basis I'd have some use for it, but water boiling in my apartment would be worse than the current state of things - as such I think its more relevant to measure the temperature of my apartment in relation to my body temperature.

Actually, I think F is based on the endothermic reaction of salt dissolving in ice water. In any case, if you would have used SI units and studied science you would have known Celsius is much better (We should all use Kelvin, of course).
