Dear all. A glorious time is upon us!! A time of hallowed tradition, of trials, tribulations and annoyance. A time when some of us feel obligated to find something to write about every single day. Thats right, its June, its once again 30 in 30.

This year we have [livejournal.com profile] apoplecticfittz enthusiastically leading the pack right out of the gate with an entry stamped at 1:50am June 1st, followed shorlty by [livejournal.com profile] emd at 2:22am. Also joining us this year we have [livejournal.com profile] trembyle, [livejournal.com profile] madchenfittz, [livejournal.com profile] incomple, [livejournal.com profile] rote, [livejournal.com profile] deluxed, [livejournal.com profile] jackie__kennedy, [livejournal.com profile] onomatopoetic, [livejournal.com profile] professor_david, [livejournal.com profile] pseudobohemian, [livejournal.com profile] gerbilgrrl, [livejournal.com profile] eagon, [livejournal.com profile] geni_ratto05, and [livejournal.com profile] prenox, and I don't even have any idea who those last eight are. We'd of course like to have as many people as possible participating in this misguided adventure, so if you're feeling saucy I strongly recommend you join in. Worry not if you aren't reading this until after midnight on the 1st (30 in 30 traditionally goes through June), I myself filled with foolish bravado began on no less than the 16th of June last year and thus proceeded to write something like 31 entries in 14 days. Looks like the event is being covered on http://heatherproject.com/.

Ideally of course the idea isn't to write just anything every day but to aspire towards megablogism -- that is, to write entries that would be amusing or interesting to those who don't give a crap about your mundane day to day undertakings. The challenge of 30 in 30 therefore is to force one to strain their imagination and come up with something worth writing every single day.

In the past there hasn't been an effort to identify daily winners, but the best entry for today has been identified as Professor David, with second place going to [livejournal.com profile] otimus.

In other news I resurrected my nation on Nationstates.net, The Glorious Dominion of Blehtahepdakorum. Turns out there's even a wiki for NationStates.net, so I created an entry about my country there.

I decided there should be a People's Republic of Davis Wiki. I should probably release the questions to the community, but for now I'm just trying to follow the general values of the wiki.
