21 of 30 - Blangst
Jun. 21st, 2005 08:06 pm So 30 in 30 is almost over, with nine entries to go, and many of us are becoming blangsty (blog-angsty) because we've already used up the ideas we couldn't wait to use, and we might be saving some of our big guns for the end, but right now we're in this awkward area in between.
And my computer today has been being extremely uncooperative about editing pictures, for reasons I'm really not clear on. It claims there isn't enough memory in the Windows directory, and then closes the picture I was just editing. I have not downloaded anything, particularly to that directory or even that drive, at any recent time. So I don't know.. its done this before and then it gets over it eventually. -- I just realized I painstakingly managed to put together a panarama despite the computers obstinance and it saved it without complaining, but now the file turns out to be completely unreadable!
Anyway, so the rest of the participants of 30 in 30 are busy working on the catapulsion of the image of being a knife fighter, communism or megafascism, or perhaps kittens, how much they love their significant other, or diligently announcing every night that they JUST missed the deadline once again. That and making pop culture references, which appears to be the default thing to do if one doesn't have a better idea. Or maybe catapulsion of kittens, knife fighting communists and megafascist pop culture references.
Either way my two tricks of talking about myself and talking about blogging are getting old. Though this journal has always been avowedly megaunderblog -- endeavoring to make the life of myself interesting and followable, 30 in 30 is about trying new things and challenging yourself to do something different. So I think I need to sit at a coffee shop for awhile and think up some blogging gold. I need to find my own jesus cthulhu.
In the mean time though, I shunted actual ideas out the window today to just start typing and see what happened. Tonight I'll go on a pilgrimage to Diedrichs and drink some holy water coffee, and then spend some time meditating and praying to Blogthulhu for blogging revelation.
Anyway, I did manage to get some pictures off the camera successfully. Here is the story of the trip down from the rats' point of view, in pictures.
(1) The rats can be seen here packing up for the trip. It was like an oven in the car at the time so I gave them a bunch of ice.
(2) as I said before, by the time I got to Merced it was chilly and I was worried about having frozen rats, but as you can see in this picture they used their ratgenius to pile all the icecubs into one little pile
(4) Mum and the gopher snake. The ratties were glad not to make its acquantance.
(5) The rats arrive in Mission Viejo
(6) Delilah and Leia enjoy their leafy new location.
