Sick

   I'm currently writing the "subculture" research paper for my ENL(UWP)1 class, the lower diviison "expositional writing" class required of everyone. For lack of a better idea I'm writing about the punk subculture. As you can see from the image to the right, many of the readings I'm coming across are quite silly. Thats a picture of an assigned reading from our class reader in fact.

   Also, I'm rather sick. I've had a continuously runny nose for the last two days as well as general aching, and a persistent headache for at least the last several hours. )=

   Today and tomorrow in addition to getting things I need to do for school done, I need to help out with the Pacific Pre-Law Conference that will be occuring here -- particularly since I'm professional co-chair of Phi Alpha Delta. Then I'll be in Vegas Friday through Tuesday to preside over the International Legal Committee at the AMWEST MUN conference. Note that this further increases the workload of crap I need to do in the next two days since I won't be able to do it during the conference.

   Normally all these things would mean getting extremely marginal amounts of sleep this week, but of course my health currently precludes that. )=

   Two Years Ago Last Saturday: Nuclear Weapons and the House of Moral Depravity - I relate the tale of how Kristy and I went down to Berkeley on the 8th and I asked her out. Also we stayed with my brother Tobin in his promiscuity habitat / co-op.
   Two Years Ago Today: I Get Impeached - President Henry makes her FIRST attempt to have the Senate remove me. She'll try again at the next Senate meeting. Also, random copy editors from our paper The Aggie (as opposed to non-random ones such as citizene or jegskaltisse) apparently read this livejournal.
   Year Ago Last Thursday: "Expect Fallout" - In one of a serious of terminal bungles last year, the Elections Committee arbitrarily decides to censor candidates for ASUCD office during the candidate forum. The Elections Committee would eventually lose on all counts in a case regarding their conduct before the Campus Judicial Board, and be replaced by the very candidates they had treated disparately. ALSO, Courtbutt Gertler declared an Enemy of the People, condemned to wallow in the eternal bogs of the UCD quad.

Hi Kris. I thought I'd write to let you know that I am sick too.

With the flu, cough and runny nose and sore throat.

It'd just be the throat in the morning.. by 12 I would have a stuffy/runny nose and a couch.. and by 10 that night I'd be getting feverish, only to start all over again in the morning.

My bank account was in the red, so I couldn't get medicine or anything. Got paid yesterday, got some mediciine, which seems to do nothing except make the cough and fever go away (two parts I didn't mind) but made my stuffy/runny nose 100 times worse.

Also, although I'm no longer sick, while I was sick I spread whatever it was I had around campus, getting at least three people sick. Now I'm not sick anymore, but I still managed to pass it on to someone else.

It's a good feeling. I like to pretend like I'm a horseman of the apocalypse, except I have no horse, and instad of a bow I just sneeze on doorknobs.

I also have the bird flu. It seems to have manefested mainly in coughing, fever, and an inability to talk. Which truly annoys me in the middle of ASUCD Elections, as I'd like to be out there campaigning.
