` Altogether Thursday was a rather uneventful day. I didn't go to the ASUCD Senate meeting as I often do on Thursdays, so I was done on campus at 16:00, at which I promptly came home and slept for the next eight hours. It was wonderful. So yes I woke up for the day at 1am.
` Finally ran into the ASUCD Supreme Court Chief Justice, one Jade Turner. She said there were documents for me on the third floor, that there is a hearing tomarrow, and that the three new justices will not be participating in the hearing. What she means by that presumably is that she will be putting forth a motion to exclude us based on Article VII, Section 6 of the ASUCD Constitution, which allows for the removal of members of the Court "on the grounds that the challenged member cannot render an impartial and unbiased opinion." Her reasoning of course is based on that the fact that we have not read the materials yet which SHE has not provided to us. There were no documents available for me on the third floor btw. Now presumably the preexisting justices have not seen these documents either; if she has provided the documents to THEM but not to US, well then there are greater problems here. Did I mention justices can be removed from the Supreme Court by a 2/3 vote of the senate? I have a lot of friends up there...
` Ate lunch with Anjuli, The Girl That Had A Boyfriend. I ought to tell the story behind that right now.. but.. ah I guess I will
The Girl That Had A Boyfriend
` So once upon a time, I met this girl named Anjuli. Actually she lived in the same hall as my friend Elisa last year, and I may have met her once or twice in that capacity. But anyway, I meet Anjuli early last quarter at an IRSA (International Relations Student Assn) meeting, and we turned out to have HIS10C together. The very next day I ran into Elisa, and she made a reference to "a month ago Anjuli's boyfriend..." so I knew that a month previous she had had a boyfriend and probably still did. Nevertheless Anjuli was very flirtacious, and so I did my best to try to get confirmation on the subject.
` Three weeks later she had STILL not made a single reference to this boyfriend of hers, so I decided to jsut whup out with the "we should hang out sometime." To this she responded with "definitely!" so mentally I was like " I guess she's single ." And so we made plans to hang out that Friday.
` On Friday everyone's favorite Joe Fitzmorris calls me inviting me to a party, and I'm like "well, supposedly I have a date today, and she hasn't cancelled YET, but she prolly will because thats what happens so I'll probably be at your party," because I'm cynical like that. Anjuli then calls me, with "hey I don't really feel like going out tonight... ...you want to just come over here and watch a video or something?" and I of course was like "for totally."
` So I get there and everything is continuing to proceed along the same lines of unchecked optimism. Then, when I am about three seconds from making the first hand-holding attempt and all that, I'm like "is that your prom picture?" and she's like "yea thats me and my boyfriend." !! Brain to Kris: "abort abort abort abort!!"
` The Boyfriend apparently was a muli-year kinda thing from back home.
` Coincidentally the previously mentioned party was about one hundred feet away. So after hanging out with Anjuli for awhile I decided it was time to go and get my emo self plastered. She even walked me to the door of the party. Silly girl.
` But in the days after that I think things were kinda awkward. We stopped sitting together in class a few days later. If anyone has any theories about what was going on here I'd love to hear them.
` I wonder if she still has the boyfriend...
