"I said CONSUMATE vees!!"
Mar. 18th, 2003 02:59 am So I'm sitting here procrastinating studying for Russian. Actually I have been doing that all weekend. Since Friday night I have not left my apartment save one trip to the grocery store after running out of milk, bread and ramen (thus rendering me completely lacking of anything edible). What with irregular sleeping habits and all these past 72 hours have been one giant blurr of procrastination with short bursts of actual accomplishment.
My Russian final is my last final, on Friday; yet I'm already panicked. Coincidentally I'm sitting here wearing my soviet hat (a "ushanka," see the picture titled "comrade" in the egomania section here for a picture. As to why I'm wearing it; hey its cold in here), drinking "Russian caravan tea," and tomorrow evening I'm going over to my aunt and uncle's place to have borshkt (Russian beet soup) for dinner. Occasionally some nice Russian music like The Sacred War or Farewell to a Slavic Woman by Vasilij Agapkin, or Alexandrov's Soviet Anthem will come on on my playlist here to complete the picture.
By way of procrastination I have updated the pictures at photos.yahoo.com/winged_snail. I added new pictures of April, Angelique, Annie, Aimee, Amie Gutierrez, Chaz, Donavon, Vanessa, Katie, Stan and Nick (Davis Nick, not N.Lucas). My favorite is the Stan Explained picture, which I just edited together in my infinite procrastination. I'd totally paste it in here but photos.yahoo is evil and doesn't let one do that and I don't have anywhere else to host it from. Lets see I think all six of the Davis pictures were taken by Kevin from unless. But yea.. if you're curious to see pictures of any of those aforementioned people you should for totally check it out.
It being Monday (and apparently St Patricks day as well, fancy that), there was of course a new Strong Bad update.. and not just any update. Anyone who has not already checked it out simply MUST check out the Trogdor Arcade Game. Its great for procrastination, all you who are also in the depths of finals week.
A BRIEF HISTORY OF TROGDOR
The earliest hint of the glory that would become Trogdor the Burninator was apparently in sbemail36, "guitar." This vague reference to a dragon was turned into a more direct reference to everyone's favorite dragon in sbemail58, "dragon" whereupon an obscure request by someone known only as kaizer led to creation of the dragon sensation we know and cherish today.
Note that the monkey in the comic strip "killing time" in our school paper was also named after the dragon.
