Today was Cinco de Mayo. Or so I'm told. I'll show YOU mayo in the sink! I spent this day here in my lair, with one adventure to campus for the MUN and Court meeting. I have THREE midterms tomorrow.
In MUN we allegedly had a run-off for USG of PR so we had to vote again for that position.. but there were MORE candidates this time than there were initially?! MUN is crazy. I want to find the MUN constitution.

History Lesson of the Day brought to you by Wikipedia.com!
"Edmund [King of England] was murdered in 946 by Leofa, an exiled thief. He had been having a party in Pucklechurch, when he spotted Leofa in the crowd. After the outlaw refused to leave, the king and his advisors fought Leofa. Edmund and Leofa were both killed. He was succeeded as king by his brother Edred, king from 946 until 955.
"

Maybe I'm weird but I am amused by the idea that there once was a time when the ruler of England could get killed trying to break up a party. And that it took place in a location called Pucklechurch just makes it that much funnier.

I just had three midterms and spent my last $35 on two books by C.D. Payne, and I couldn't be happier. Youth in Revolt and Revolting Youth are the best books ever written.

Walking back from the bookstore I ran into Nick Aurora, who has had the good fortune of reading the first one but was not aware of the second, so I immediately gave him the second to read. I've already read them both, and now, now I'm consumed with a passion to make every other person that moves read these books.

My original copy of Youth in Revolt I'd been given by my brother Tobin, after reading it I made my friend Jessie Lawson read it, who made Kristin Cress and her (Jessie's) boyfriend read it.. who still has possession of it I believe. Thats how contagious the book is.

Anyway, I still have one class left so I best go do that now.

Update: 20 minutes later.
In the last 20 minutes I've learned (A) "people are talking again" about removing me from my position as Chairman of the ASUCD Court. I haven't the faintest idea why, there hasn't even been tension recently between anyone and the Court. I remain unperturbed and jubilant as before. Incidentally today I need to make the Quarterly Court Report to the ASUCD Senate. (B) My last class, HIS138A, was cancelled, hence my not being in it at this moment.

I think I'm going to go lie on the grass on the quad now.
