Today we had the hearing for Case # 29, Laabs v. Stone Taddai. I have spent most of the hours since that time emersed in case law regarding freedom of speech issues. Now I need to go to bed in order to be awake in time to get myself to the Yolo County Superior Courthouse tomorrow, and then I'm going to compile my notes on the 14 cases I've examined along with discussion of the instant situation into an opinion which should satisfy any lawyer with its thoroughness.

Today I took a much needed break from studying law and went flyerizing with Entertainment Council director Roxanne Loew for the upcoming Entertainment Council shows (Phenomenauts in the Coffee House, 7:30pm, Thursday the 9th! (with Flip the Switch), Anticon and Passage & Gel on Feb 16th, and Love Equals Death on the 23rd).

In Other News: Apparently I made it into the background of the picture on the front of the weekly UCD staff periodical, Dateline.

Haha!
If you're looking for fun pseudolegal debates outside your day job, come visit a Collegiate 4-H meeting sometime. Not only do we debate our own constitution; we also make rampant complaints about SPAC, the constitutions and actions of other Collegiate 4-H regions, and most importantly, the utter uselessness of our organization at a regional and national level. Whee!

currently don't have reception. two other times today I found myself not busy for a few minutes, but found I didn't have reception. Other than that my time today has been taken up with being in locations without reception or travelling between them. d=

I'm glad I've contributed to the education level of the Supreme Court. Maybe not as much as the defense, with their extensive brief, but I'm sure I offered some pedagogy to the ASUCD. And in the end, that's why we're all here at the University.

So get some of your fellow PADdies to join the court and get some real world experience!
