In Washington DC! We went out drinking last night with the UCDC crew. This morning I woke up in the dorm at Georgetown Law. Interesting.

Anyway, I uploaded my Day 3 and Day 4 pictures.

Day 3 Pictures!

Day 4 Pictures!

But yeah, we're staying with someone's friend here at the dorms. Today looks like a driving nightmare for me. We're all going to NY, NY, whereupon Aaron and I are immediately departing for Rochester, NY, (5 hrs 38 min), where my dad's side of the family lives. Conveniently, they are having a graduation (from college) party for one of my cousins today. Then either tonight or maybe in the morning Aaron and I are driving to New London, Connecticut (6 hrs 13 min). Then probably tomorrow morning I rejoin the other four of us in NY NY (2 hrs, 33 min). I'll be spending a day driving in circles! )=

*** Edit - 5 Minutes Later *** Okay we've got a new plan I think. I sold everyone on this plan, as its only four hours longer than the route we'd otherwise be taking. Looks like we'll all be spending the day in NY NY today, Aaron and I will be taking the hop over to Connecticut tonight and I'll spend the night over there, return to NY NY in the morning. Tomorrow the girls want to spend a second whole day in NY (I'm not thrilled, I hate big cities) and in the evening we'll go to Rochester. We'll spend the night either at my grandparents' or the co-op my brother founded. Hopefully have brunch with my relatives or something the next morning so I at least see them, Niagra Falls, and onward!!

I'm gonna keep writing as long as I have reception (in the parking garage now and we still have reception!!). We interviewed this crazy protestor yesterday who's been outside the white house 12 hours a day every day since 1981 or so (!!!) ("except when I was in jail"). At first we thought that was kinda cool, but then we realized he utterly reeked of alcohol, couldn't read (you'd think you'd learn how if you spend most of your time sitting in one spot), and his advocated course of action for everyone was "don't pay taxes! Jesus ACTUALLY said not to pay taxes! You are all suckers if you pay taxes!" (paraphrased). His scriptural interpretations were absolutely terrible

White House protestors tend to be batshit nuts.

You should totally at least visit the Ant Hill co-op. Ask them to take you to the Abandoned Subway--it's walking or biking distance from the co-op. Conveniently, the Dinosaur BBQ (delicious! Order the pulled-pork sandwich with two sides combo) is actually built above the abandoned subway. Rolf could probably be convinced to take you out to the Dino BBQ too. They don't take reservations, though, so it can take an hour or more to get a table. Consider getting take-out (equally delicious but much faster) if this is the case.

P.S. The secret to New York City is to get out of Manhattan. Go to Brooklyn. It's awesome.

P.P.S Good to see, from the photos, that you visited Baton Rouge. I'm moving there!

P.P.P.S. Excellent work on the "waking up in unknown dorm room". All excellent adventures involve this.
