Problematic Falafels

   Our young rooster, Falafel, has reached that point in his life where he greets every new day with a very enthusiastic cock-a-doodle-doo. Eric, already out for the chicken on account of its generous donations of fertilizer to the patio, wants to shoot him asap.

   I'm sad because Falafel is filled with personality and sass, but we can't be waking up the neighbours every day with crowing. )=

As of Fri morning, Felafel and gf are locked away in the shed where they are no doubt pooping in their sleep but at least they are not crowing.

A friend pointed out the rooster, after I couldn't find it. I guess I mistakenly assumed that those cacti were regular sized, when they are in fact FUCKING GIGANTIC.

Each of those paddles is at least one foot across. The entire plant is more than 10 feet tall, though it is growing up the side of a hill. --But I think that just makes it wider.
