(Just Past) Seattle!
Aug. 30th, 2008 12:15 pmHello from Everett, just north of Seattle. Yesterday we drove through Mt St Helens national park (did you know its in "Skamania County," how awesome is that?) and it was totally beautiful.
After dropping off people in Portland and Seattle we're down to just Janelle and I for the time being. We're going to go visit the Olympic rainforests today, and then tomorrow the San Juan Islands.
There appears to be a scratch on the lense of my camera )= )= )= I'm not sure how that happened since of course the automatic lense cap shutters are closed whenever its not being used to take a picture. But its ruining all my pictures with a fuzzy cloud in the middle of the image. )= This is very very concerning to me because I really like taking pictures. )=

Date: 2008-08-31 01:34 am (UTC)I'm very sad about your camera. is the lens separate (i.e. you could replace just that part) or is it the whole thing? I hope you get a replacement soon.
A short-fix that might work is filling the scratch w/something clear like i donno - I'm thinking maybe something could level out the lens & thereby fix the blur: like petrol jelly or something it would be hard to pull off & would still not be perfect photos. if it's already ruined though you could try that w/like a q-tip & see if it works until you can afford a replacement. :S
